Everybody should do themselves a favor and listen to the original murdergram Which is on the mama said knock you out album. The one with Eminem is part 2. LL is 56, I'm 58. When radio came out he was 16 I was 18. When I heard I need a beat I got dizzy, Then I heard rock the Bells and I had a stroke. That was 1985. I have been a fan ever since👍🏿

OK, Ima swing back and listen again based on this critique. Based on what I heard on Rock the Bells Radio, I was really missing the Mr. Smith from the past. It could have been the beats (or that I'm in my late 60s lol), but I'm headed through for another listen. Thanks for this perspective!

The fact that this man just completed 40 years in hip hop. drop in my opinion hip hop AOTY the force with def Jam the label he was signed to first. I don’t believe has ever been done not from the era he started in yes nas has been incredible these last 6 albums props to him to. But whether LL just did was us that there is no age on hip hop and it should never be

There is a shift happening where parts of the 5 elements of hip-hop are coming back. Hip-hop is the only genre of some fans complaining about the person's age of those that are rapping.

15 years. 20 episodes per year. Average of 300,000 per episode. $90M just based on the show he did. That's not including syndication. LL is the most calm rapper ever. No freak offs. Not caught up in the bullshit diddy and jay are. hmmm. but just as rich. might just be the GOAT.

I have not listened to LL's new album and I doubt that I will at this point. I'm 47 years old so I grew up with hip hop... "I used to love H.E.R." and I still love some of the hip hop I grew up listing to- though some of the lyrics haven't aged well. But, I'm just not interested in hearing any new material from hardly any MC nowadays. Then again I go through phases with music. I could check his album out three years from now and play it nonstop for a year.🤷🏾♀️

Nas, Kris, The rap GOD, Big, Pac, Canibus, Black Thought, Ghost, Sean Price, All of De La, Dres from Black Sheep, is so much better, Em, Jay Z, Kendrick, Kool G, Prodigy Redman, L Boogie, Bahamdia, Guru. I can prolly name 10 more Queens rappers better than him. LL Cool J, Todd Smith, sucks. "I'll let you kick the first verse, fuck it I'll let you kick 'em all. I'll even wait for the studio audience to applaud."
