@@nancypierre-louis7102 im hispanic and voted for harris. i feel betrayed, this should of been a slam dunk. ive been thinking of an approach to better understand the situation. this is what i have so far...it is not the race, not the family, not the class, not the origin, not even the religion that unites us, it is the political view. what is ironic about it is that the political view is the easiest to change in comparison. so if we can understand ourselves politically, we can organize accordingly. for example, i left christianity due to southern babtists, left poverty due to victimhood and lack of change, left family due to greed, left my race due to hypocrisy, left my country due to lack of justice, but i will never leave those who are progressive like me. i figure people have different reasons but the formula is the same. after research and education, we come back to what we left with a stronger and better approach to unite our differences.

Misinformation is such a huge issue. I guarantee just the word "choice" is majorly hurting our causes. People don't understand why we so feverishly support abortion when all they can connect it to is 'killing babies." They think abortion is only so a woman can decide that she doesn't want to complete a pregnancy because she doesn't want to have a baby. That is what it CAN be used for. Not what it is ONLY used for. We need people to understand that women who do not want to abort their pregnancies will die because they will need "abortions" to save their lives. I want "pro life" women to understand that their daughters will die giving birth at only a slightly lower rate than miscarriages happen today if abortion care is not allowed. That rate is HIGH. There is not time to make decisions or go to other states for care in these situations. There is no choice being made, other than the choice to deny the woman life saving health care. It has now happened more than once in this country in the past two years. People will never stop railing against "My body, my choice" when they think you're making the choice to "kill a baby." This is a huge hole in the education of women's bodies that we need to fix. I was an adult woman before I found out how many miscarriages happen because no one ever talks about it. I was 49 and seeing doctors, thinking I was going crazy, before I learned anything meaningful or helpful about menopause. Yeah, we all know about the hot flashes, but did you know we also lose our fucking minds? We need better informational sources for everyone and especially women.

There a few kinds of white folks. In this election, we had white people who hate Black people and simply don't engage with us and then we have the white folks who love being around black people BUT only as long as they are socially and financially on top; socially superior to you. The lesson here (AGAIN) is the white women who supported Trump are fine with the patriarchy and their men taking the lead. The white women who voted for and campaigned for Harris ARE NOT allies. They simply want the same amount of power as white men. I get it, we keep desperately trying to find allies partially because black men who should be our allies are not. And being the social creatures that women are we keep looking for validation and connection. These women Will pretend to be your friend and pretend to care about you but the truth is they are using as many women of many races as much as they can to get power for themselves. Or that they will use to keep women of color oppressed in the same way that white men do. And here's the thing you don't have to take my word for it just looked raw history apparently a lot of black women to find me sidekicks because some of us don't have the confidence to lead take charge create our own tables instead of begging for seated there This has played out multiple times throughout history and yet black women keep falling for the same BS from white women.

What about the Hispanics and the arabs and the black people that voted trump? Why did they jump on trump side so much more than kamala? Could it maybe the fact that kamala did and said nothing valuable and also she started adoption some of trump policies which got her more popular but then when trump called them out for that they overturned it and it backfired awfully? Just maybe?

In my opinion, it's because they know their men have the power and access to resources, and to go against them in any form would be equal to rebellion and they would face the repercussions in the workplace, at home, or anyplace else. I was part of the 47% of white women that did the right thing and supported Harris strongly. I worked with the local party office and canvassed/called because I truly respected her so much. I'm from NC, and in a very rural area, so. To say it is Trump country is an understatement. And honestly, they are mean. I know I have had people go off on me because of my views. One thing I have noticed is this is like a crowd mentality thing, especially with people who are in white evangelical churches because it is being pushed that Trump is of God because he is against abortion and LGBTQ supposedly. It's insane. I have literally heard people say they are not considering the person, but just the policies. What? We had a rapist and felon who showed us repeatedly how he felt about different groups with his remarks and actions. This man even made fun of people with disabilities, but these people said he is from God.

Thank you. Karen ❤ I may not be Jane Elliot, but I have spent 40+ years fighting for everyone and I mean everyone to be equal .. it’s very disheartening when I’m constantly for at least 25 years getting spit (figuratively )in my face by even my relatives in my quest to help them, see a reality that they refused to look at.. And when it inevitably fails, I get treated like shit from both sides.. One gloating and the other one mad at me . And both the gloating and righteous but misdirected anger Now my only sense of hope I cling to is in the 80s. It was a little under 40% of white women that voted democrat . It is not a huge gain but there IS progress. We are fighting a very, very large foe. .. and in this particular case, many ridiculous hateful people of power and money that see they are truly outnumbered. Stay through everything, including the kitchen sink at this last election. They won😢😡🤦 But we cannot let them continue to divide Maybe it’s a good thing that they will get all branches of government, including the Supreme Court and the spell can finally be broken. And people will see who is really destroying this country. It’s not the Democrats or the independents.. but I do appreciate you encouraging us to stay united and trying not let them divide us further!! Reality is going to hit them and hit them hard. I only pray we can bounce back from this. We need all the allies we can get

I love listening to you and believe you have the right attitude for people to take at this moment. I was born in 1950 and by the time I was in my teens I watched what people were going through in the south signs that read white or colored, seeing colored people hanging from trees with white peoples looking at that like it was a show. Watching cops spraying water on people with so much force that I felt angry, dogs set on children and women, I was living in New York in 1968 or maybe early right now it seems like a long time ago. I never let that make me hate white peoples my mother and father didn’t raise me or my brothers like that we did have our own thoughts and opinions on how to behave with other people. What I’m trying to say it hurts me more right now because in 2024 I feel that there is so much hate and racism against anyone who is not white, and a white person like trump who might be rich is allowed with lawyers to use certain rights that maybe other people can’t use if being in the same situation, and so many people who believe they are true American and talk about law and honor and yet they voted for a person who has no character as a decent human who is so racist and corrupt that politicians are willing to put him back in office just to have power over others.

They've been trying to avoid paying to educate our children since Brown v Board the year I was born. Our community needs to move to bring together all available resources, best practices and meaningful concepts to tackle an education crisis we've had for decades that is now a five alarm fire. Our at risk children, children with disabilities, and children of poor and working class families will be expecially vulnerable.
@ursamajor63473 күн бұрын
Based on what I have heard from these men behind Trump they are looking to create a far more homogenous United States than what we have today. They are already talking about de-naturalizing naturalized citizens. And when they are gone who's going to do their jobs? The Department of Justice will roll up under Trump that's the plan. And they will refocus their energy from investigating things like white power groups and turn most of their attention to investigating companies and academic institutions that make DEI a part of their hiring and application practices respectively. There is also a plan to remove disparate impact which is used by attorneys in employment discrimination cases to win cases for their plaintiffs. Now think about the implications of the things I just wrote. The only thing separating Black people from Jim crow 2.0 are laws. You guys are sitting here talking about a revolution here in the states. We may have to leave this country. Sure I sound dramatic but if you did not repeat 25 or pay close attention to the things these men say honestly we're in for a rude awakening
