@@CocoButta Harriet Tubman is often attributed with the quote: "I could have freed more people if the realized they were slaves." Think about the mental and sometimes physical tethers the democratic party has on the black community. We blindly vote blue no matter who -- although they have done nothing for the black community. ------- Excerpts from article by Dibakar Dutta: Malcolm highlighted that the White American who identifies as a liberal is the most ‘dangerous’ and ‘deceitful’ thing in the Western Hemisphere. Malcolm X suggested that the ‘liberals’ who claim to be the ones fighting for the rights of black Americans is in fact exploiting them for their own benefits. Malcolm stated, “The white liberal differs from the white conservative in one way. The liberal is more deceitful and hypocritical than the conservatives. Both want power. But, the white liberal has perfected the art of posing as the negro’s friend and benefactor.” He accused the liberals of using the black Americans as ‘political pawns’ in their political struggle against the conservatives. “The American negro is nothing but a political football and the white liberals control this ball. Through tricks, tokenism, and false promises of integration and civil rights…,” he remarked. He blamed the Black civil rights leaders for selling the black community to the liberals for tokenism -------- Like Malcolm X, it's time for black Americans to think for themselves. Amen. We fought for basic civil rights and legislative charges for generations before visual recognizable progress was manifested. Throwing our hands up are not an option. I acted as a poll observer and still went when I began to feel ill just before Election Day on Monday. I encouraged others to vote, phone banked, texted to a list given me, and on my limited income, gave more than I could afford financially I was MORE encouraged than most because of the demographics of who came in to vote. I KNEW for sure that Trump would win in 2016 because I could see feel the pulse of America and knew what they were saying In addition, the Lord told me Trump would win The underlying cancerous spirit of America was exposed. After he lost, there was a more aggressive campaign to get him in this time …. It is much more strategic and nefarious than people think America has spoken and shown what they love and respect You can hear the laughter and yells when the most racist, hate-filled-, misogynistic vile and violent ungodly rhetoric was spoken. People worked hard and she went far above and beyond to introduce herself, reach out, and share policies. It doesn’t matter that she did, they were still going to vote the same way. They already knew who they were choosing and they were ok with that.

KAREN -In regards to us "knowing what works and what doesn't" - we were in DENIAL about what wasn't working!! We in fact held on for dear life to what "wasn't working" - because its all we had to allow us even "a possibility" for change. Change occurred - yet we remained "discriminated" against" "murdered by police" without justice and "on the bottom" economically!! We adapted to the "crumbs being offered" whereas those who had gone before us made "demands". We have power and the ability to connect and unite which our ancestors NEVER had! We have RIGHTS to stand on which they never had. Yet with all that - we are disrespected, taken for granted, and still looking for who "holds our interests and concerns" when we are neither "interested or concerned" with the true state of our people!! We are NOT being represented - the interest of White America is what is being represented and we "get in where we can fit in". Hell, we can't even say "Blacks want or Blacks need" without being made to feel we uttered "a curse word". Yet, we "championed as directed a woman alleged to be BLACK" - who herself stated a public refusal to do ANYTHING for BLACKS! We neither questioned or challenged the position being taken, while ignoring the "voices of our people" who told what she DID DO to BLACKS by "locking them up" and incarcerating!! Even with evidence showing their innocence. We have been utterly dismissive, of the "voices of our people" even against the very blatant insults to our face and to our people on the whole - always findings ways around it by which to "justify and support" the position taken! So, No we have not learned "what works for us" and "what doesn't. We preferred to "go round and round in circles" getting NO WHERE - simply because they allowed us to join the circle!! And even within that circle we had to be on "good behavior". Meaning, don't speak for "blacks" be INCLUSIVE while habitually being EXCLUDED. Do not speak "our truth" regarding demands we are many - speak only what fits the general narrative as told by THEM! We played along and got no where - and we'd still be playing today, were it not for the fact "the game has changed". So perhaps you're right about our "going back" to the drawing board and starting from scratch! Maybe that's what we need "bread from scratch". Cause we been hanging around that table for far too long - waiting on some damn crumbs to fall down from it!!

Rod is sounding very stoic. All we can do is control our thoughts, wants, desires, words and actions .. after that most is outside of our control. And the Bhagavad Gita teaches one to act AND LET GO..... because once we act, the rest is not up to us

According to Lord Tytler, a Scottish historian who lived in the 1700s, the average age of the world's democracies is around 200 years. After two hundred years, the nations collapse due to various economic policies, and fall into tyranny. Lord Tytler identified "Eight Stages of a Democracy", from beginning to end. The eight stages go from bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependence, and finally from dependence back to bondage. Life and our universe moves in cycles, and history is no different.

And let's define 'fight'. Fight is to adhere to the principles and morals that resonate in our souls. Forget any books telling us what is, forget a pastorbator using their voice to sway the naive and forget the club you never got into.

They are getting ready for 2028. Are we putting together plans, goals and strategies? Our activism cannot be limited to getting out the vote. We need political platforms driving what or for whom we vote.

The embracing of mediocrity is the issue. Trump lowered the bar so low, and people are so selfish that they would embrace mediocrity because it suits their world vision.

Y'all are saying some things I'm not hearing anywhere else today! The Scottish minister just brought a smile to my face, and I was glad to hear that apparently much of Scotland had not forgotten about how trump disrespected their laws and broke big promises and left an old lady to push a wheelbarrow down to a stream everyday to get her water cause trump cut off her water supply along with another neighbor whose water and electric were interfered with by trump. It was a scandal lasting over a decade. Also karen, I appreciate you bringing up the dollar and the extremely real possibility that trump will act a fool and America and our dollar will lose it's position in the world and our dollars will be worthless when the Chinese yuan becomes the standard...this is too real and I thank you for your insights.

It’s sad watching the cable news and have them rewrite history on the Trump campaign. He tap in to this he was smart about this, stop! I know what saw and I know what I heard It was one the most racist campaigns I’ve ever seen. If anything he tap into that.

The books r cooked .. these media outlets and talking heads LOVE president PT Barnum. His entire “campaign” was him showing up to rallies and doing narcissistic word salad for 3 hours. Blabbering and yapping. SO SMART !! 🤔🧐

I am so tired of hearing we are saving Democracy. Democracy has never been for us, what we have bern fighting for is to be left alone to be able to achieve goals in our lives. We have bern working for thw whites and the browns and who ever else to leave us along. I truly hope that what happens from now own, it helps "black" people and "black" people alone.
