Went you your channel to get some pointers on how to make a better video and saw 3 vids and 9 subs. Are you really someone who should be criticizing?

Thanks for the video. Can you adjust the balance on the arm to make it lighter or heavier?

Thanks for watching. I wasn't sure so I had to go look. It uses one of those gas charged cylinders like on the hatch of a car. One end is fastened at a slot in the mechanism so I would say that you could likely adjust the balance by locating that end at different points in the slot. Thanks again for watching.

sweet score on the tapping arm. I have looked at them in the past, I seem to get runs of jobs that need tapping, but dont do it on a regular basis that much. So you drilled those 3/8 holes, right? no way they were plasma cut ?

I do those lugs on a regular basis. I actually do a larger version as well. My PM85 will not pierce 1" plate so I only edge start and cut the outside. I use my scribe on the CNC plasma to mark the location of the holes. I do the big hole with an annular cutter. The tapped holes are drilled 5/16" and chamfered both sides before tapping. Seems like a lot of work but the setup takes longer than the work usually. Some people advocate drilling a starter hole to do the inside features but the 2-1/8" hole only takes 2.5 minutes each on the Bridgeport. Cannot be much quicker to drag the mag drill around for a starter hole? Thanks for watching.
