You can skip both the lemon and the baking soda and just boil the vingar. Also combining baking soda and vinigar actually cancel eachother. The reaction looks fun sure but you lose both the acidity of the vinigar and the baseic from the baking soda

I live in Cyprus and we have the same problem. I have a water:vinegar mix that I pour, bring to boil and let it cool overnight in the kettle. Next day I store the mix back in the bottle and wash the kettle with water. That way I am not wasting lemons or the vinegar. When I start to question my life decisions, I use that water/vinegar mix to clean the windows or kitchen counters (mixed with a little soap and salt). Really, I don’t waste a drop of anything. You might want to consider doing my method.

People without basic chemistry knowledge...😅 Baking soda with acid (vinegar + lemon) makes Water (h2o) + carbon dioxide (the bubble/ 'reaction')

You don't need lemon, nor soda. Put water and some vinegar inside... Bring to boiling point and leave it for an hour or so... All clean
