I have been obsessed with the double freeze tofu method lately. Texture gets really tender and it gets so crispy when breaded and battered

Do u just freeze, thaw and refreeze, then thaw and use?
@eatingwithselina84823 жыл бұрын
@@missdenim6590 Yes and I marinate with ‘no chicken’ broth before the 2nd freeze and then thaw again and drain it then more marinade an hour before I bread and batter it. Best tasting ‘tofu chicken’ ever

In re to freezing tofu, . . . I found it works well with most tofu types. HOWEVER, I htried freezing some of the high protein tofu and it was pretty bad!! For lack of a better term, it became almost "mealy" and tough in it's consistency . I wonder if any one else has had this experience, or was i just lucky?!?! 😄

I love how you guys put the print recipes in such an easy place to print them. These look so good I don't know which to try first. Do you guys know how to make a substitute for nutritional yeast? I live in Nepal and it's almost $30 for about 2 cups of it-if I can find it at all.
@thehappypear3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow that’s expensive. It’s not overly important to the recipe at that price maybe extra mixed herbs could bulk up the flavour.
