It's these little beads. www.etsy.com/au/shop/JessamaDesign?ref=seller-platform-mcnav&search_query=cotton They're made from cotton and can soften and be removed from the clay once soaked in water.

I see how you heard 6. Lol I said thickest setting. Around 4mm thick.
