Fourteen years ago, when I first started learning polymer clay, my only local sources for polymer clay were Michaels and JoAnn. The clay was so crumbly that I nearly quit clay altogether. I was convinced that blue was the devil's own creation. KZbin and online stores have made polymer clay one of my favorite materials for creative outlets. But, clay also wants more: mica powders, alcohol inks, cutters, molds, stencils, silkscreens, resin, and on, and on. I hadn't found a translucent that didn't crumble until I started watching Deb's tutorials, and decided to give translucent another try. Thanks for the time an effort you put into making these entertaining videos.

Finally! I usually drop everything when I see a new video of yours is out, but I couldn’t do that this time and it’s been hard. I sometimes put videos on in the background while I do other things, but never yours. Yours I watch and savor. I finally had time to watch it, and I’m so happy now, it’s ridiculous 😊 I just want to let you know that you bring so much joy and happiness outside of the inspiration and knowledge you depart. Thank you for everything you do, and for just being you 💗 PS. How dare you waste a whole drop of alcohol ink! The world might come to an end because you squirted three drops instead of two! “The Ink Apocalypse” - coming to a theater near you soon. 😜😂

These are STUNNING 😍 Although these can be worn year around, to me they scream Christmas. I absolutely love them. ❤ PAY no mind to the haters. Unless they've worked with alcohol inks, they will know they spread freely no matter how little you use. ❤Gail

Those tusk/curved dagger cutters are gorgeous. I've ordered from your section on O Joy Creations, I'll definitely be getting these, as well. My son has been asking for more masculine pieces and I think that shape lends well to a more "manly" cabochon. They would look cool with a wire wrap bail, I may try that out for him. Lovely pieces as usual! I love the different jasper looks!!

By not blending completely the translucent looks amazing. Im sure this is inpart due to your sanding, buffing and resining, but no matter, they are beautiful! The piece that is waiting for beads i think is my favorite. Congratulations on your cutter desins being showcased and made available in 3 shops now!😁
@clayboutique7 ай бұрын
Thank you. I didn’t sand them, just resin, but that does make the colors pop. I don’t sand and buff and resin. I do one , or the other. I only sand the edges, of unsanded/un buffed pieces. Thank you! I’m excited to get my name out there!

Do you have a video where you explain when you choose to bake on a tile or when you choose to bake on parchment? I absolutely love the way this stone came out. It's so colorful!
@clayboutique7 ай бұрын
No, not a specific video. I don’t bake on parchment. It’s just regular paper. If I know I’m gonna resin /glitter the backs, I’ll bake on tile. If I don’t want shiny spots on the back of my pieces, that I’m not gonna resin/glitter, I’ll bake on paper. Having said that, pieces bake flatter on tile, so I’ll bake on paper, and as soon as they are out of the oven, I’ll place them on tile to ensure they’re flat. Thank you 💜

No, isopropyl alcohol. Thank you 💜
@brandycooper56257 ай бұрын
Love your videos. Got all the things to give this a try. Instead of using alcohol to clean your area have you tried hand sanitizer? I’ve found it works better and faster than spraying alcohol.
@clayboutique7 ай бұрын
Thanks. No, I haven’t. I’m not sure I’d want to clean my pieces with hand sanitizer. How does it work faster? I find isopropyl alcohol works perfectly for cleaning my surfaces and utensils, too. I suppose you are asking me this because I had a hard time wiping off the alcohol ink? That’s because initially I used only a wipe. I then sprayed with alcohol, and it came right off. Cernit inks are hard to wipe off without alcohol.
@brandycooper56257 ай бұрын
@@clayboutique I haven’t tried those alcohol inks I only have the Tim holtz alcohol inks and hand sanitizer works to get it off my glass work surface and tiles.
@clayboutique7 ай бұрын
Well, it will do. Hand sanitizer has alcohol in it. However, it’s watered down, which is why I use pure alcohol to not only cleans my work surface, but also my clay pieces. Polymer doesn’t like water.
