Haven, Full Storyline - RWBY Volume 5

Similar to my volume 4 supercuts, I've spent a lot of time on making each transition as smooth as possible to emulate as if it was orignally cut this way.
I've split volume 5 into two kinds of supercuts.
One's that follow a plotline and include every scene related to said plotline, regardless of who's present.
One's that follow a character, regardless of what plotlines they may weave through.

I'm honestly really glad that you made this because nowadays i cant really find a place to watch the original RWBY because it has (to my knowledge) been removed from a lot of places (RoosterTeeth, youtube, crunchy roll) and it was one of my favorite series ever made.

Yeah, it was on the RT archive, but it's even gone there now since VIZ media bought it. Hopefully VIZ allows it to be streamed in some form soon.

Maria Calavera was originally meant to debut in Chapter 6 "Known by its Song", but her debut was pushed to the first chapter of Volume 6, "Argus Limited". The directors had to take her out because it was hard to balance out all the storylines. Originally, Maria was going to have a cat, and Qrow was supposed to find her in his search for Huntsmen. Kinda weird how the spring Maiden 'stumble' into Raven's group, but then again she does have a lot people on her side, so it wouldn't be a surprised if she's been tracking the Maiden for a while now

@@danawarner17 he seems to be a nice guy, but his semblance makes him feel like an outcast cuz how it brings misfortune. I can understand why he prefers to work alone and as he once said 'in the shadows'. But he does care to those closest to him. I also understand why he left his clan and Raven, they're out for themselves, hence why he roast her being and he quote 'a real mother of the year'.

As much as this volume has some heartwarming moments, like Weiss and Yang's heart-to-heart and RWBY reuniting, so much of it is lacklustre. The fights feel inconsequential (is Weiss' almost death ever mentioned again?) and we don't get to see the real rematches, like where is Ruby vs Cinder proper and why is Mercury vs Yang cut off?

@@blairblue6769Salem is endgame Cinder is the villain who’s been fighting and doing the dirty work for 9 volumes and she only fought Ruby once in a 1v4 against her team in volume 8 That doesn’t feel right, specially when there’s a one sided obsession in Cinder’s part for Ruby (she ironically gives more attention to Jaune and Weiss than Ruby)

I know that volume 5 gets a fair amount of flak for different reasons but I have to admit that it has some of my favourite dialogue scenes, especially that opening debate between qrow and leonardo. Not to mention the whole subtle point of the Mistral huntsmen being systematically eliminated with the way qrow slowly realises is surprisingly dark.

Don’t worry about it, if you liked filler and really just want a basic simplistic season without high action combat. This is the volume to watch. Like try not thinking about the past volumes so you can watch this out of context. It’s for the better.
