"There's nothing else you wanna tell us" *probably Raven maybe lands on a branch* "not tonight" I love this shit okay I have been binging the entire series and rather than sit through all of v4, I watched all of your cuts and it's been WAY better! I still can't decide if the Geist battle was *intentionally* disjointed and sloppier (at least it felt that way, particularly compared to Qrow v Tyrian and even Yang v Taiyang) or if that was supposed to be a kind of point of minor development for them through this volume. I will say as much as people keep trying to say they're breaking off from Monty's "vision" my recent binge has been showing me more the opposite. There has been foreshadowing to multiple MAJOR points that haven't come up until after the school days volumes and making allusions to Salem, Watts, as well as hints of a drastic darker turn.

I like tirian. He is a fear fighter. He didn't attack Qrow when he didn't have his weapon with him coz if he did then he will have to fight hand to hand and he isn't good at it and he knew that he will lose, so he waited fpr Qrow to get his wapon so they can continue the fight.

Is there a limit on how long Qrow can stay in bird form? Just wondering because he could have just flown straight over to Ruby rather than transform and bust through a wall to get to her.

Hmmm, good question. I don't think so. I think he transformed a bit early because A) If busting through the wall was a more direct route, he probably couldn't have done that as a bird, and more importantly B) he wants to keep his ability a secret, not just from the kids, but probably also from Tyrian. He's a spy, and if Tyrian learns he can become a crow, and reports that to Salem, he can now no longer snoop on the villains because they'll just kill any crow they see on sight just to be safe.

No there isn't but he couldn't folwn to ruby coz she doesn't know and this will be reveled in the later episdes of this volume. Ozpin give Qrow and Raven the ability to become birds, with his magic, but he can only do that once up on a time

The soundtrack in RWBY is so amazing, the way they played a slowed down version of "Boop" during Ren and Nora's flashback and then later when they mixed everyone's themes, it was so smooth (when Ruby was reading the letter)

I remember when this season came out…people likened the Nuckelavee Grimm to the allergy that took Monty. And Ren killing it was like Monty’s brother avenging him…and Monty himself, since he voiced Ren initially. So there’s always a huge sense of relief when it dies.

Man I remember when I was excited for this tbh... 4th season was ok but every season since then has been a miss through and through. Graphically, it's gotten more stunning but it doesn't mean much if the character depth is trash, story arcs make no sense, and just the overall story being a cluttered mess. They've severely lost their direction with all this, I really hope someone comes in takes the lead on this. Maybe make a remake that carries on from where volume 2 or 3 left off tbh.

I fully respect your opinion on the direction this show has taken since V3, I'm well aware of how controversial it's been among the fanbase. That being said, however, I couldn't disagree more with your opinion on the character depth and story arcs. Volumes 6-8 are, by a landslide, my favorite volumes of the show, even if we completely disregard the dramatic improvement to visuals as a factor and only consider the writing and characters. The character arcs and relationship arcs have all been wonderfully satisfying. Ruby slowly shows more and more cracks in her resolve but still pushes thru with the support of her friends. Weiss grows tremendously as a person since Beacon and stands up to her abusive father. Blake's arc with Adam finds a satisfying end (And Adam's character arc makes sense and is consistent from the Black Trailer all the way to the end of V6). Yang's development from too hot, to too cold, to "just right" has been a fun ride. Not to mention other major character arcs that have been a blast to follow thru the series like Ironwood slowly becoming more obsessed with doing what he feels is right at any cost, with no consideration to other's views, or Qrow going from guardian to team member as his gang of kids finds their own footing. All while dealing with alcoholism, trust issues, and his own deeply ingrained feelings of self-worthlessness. All the above isn't even getting into the different and wonderfully varied relationships between characters as they've ebbed and flowed in fun ways all throughout the series. Qrow & Ruby, Nora & Ren, Blake & Sun, Blake & Yang, Winter & Penny, all wonderfully varied and interesting relationships that have shifted and evolved with events and individual character growth in believable and interesting ways. It's been a ride and a half and I can't wait for the rest of the series to see where they all end up.

The first time i watched this confused the shit out of me because i watched it thinking it was every episode of s4 until i realized one of the episodes was cut out (Spoiler Alert) Which confused me when weiss suddenly apears without any explanation as to what happened.from her POV. This is only RNJR and Qrow's story line which only constitutes half of the volume. Volume 4 is a few minutes longer than volume 3, making it the longest volume so far. Ironic you call them lazy but couldn't take 10 seconds to fact check.
