I think the Paper straws are to help ocean turtles 🐢 and not the ones in lakes/ponds that are farmed and sold to eat 😅 Either way they should do away with it as I've seen a guy here (🇮🇳) produce dried coconut leaves straws that cheaper and way more eco friendly to manufacture and recycle ♻

In Asian culture especially Japanese culture. It's recommended to smack or slurp the noodle soups 🍜. You do this when eating out. It lets the chef know you're enjoying the food. I personally don't smack or slurp my noodle soup. I feel I may choke on the broth. Especially when I like to add a lot of chili oil to my broth.
