also the new quasar cannon makes chargers so easy as long as you have someone be a dedicated anti charger anti titan. and clear out the chaff for them, an infinitely reusable pretty quickly recharging EAT makes chargers just melt.

A tip for the Spear, it has a lot more utility on bot missions with all their buildings. There are only 3 things on bugs that it can truly target, being Spore nests, Chargers, and Bile Titans, but Chargers move around too much, so you really have to shoot first before it notices you

The bots are just too fun for me. The feeling of chaos that the pressure fire and explosions bring is incredible. It feels like an actual battlefield where the tide of battle could change by one well placed stratagem strike or an enemy drop-ship deployment.

the spear locks onto any heavy enemy. issue is that the lock on is currently EXTREMELY unreliable and it will fail you more often than working as intended. sometimes it also just refuses to oneshot the enemies its supposed to be able to because the guided rocket hits in the wrong spot. its good when it functions as intended but i'd say wait until they fix it.

I've never used the SPEAR but I've been told by people that do that it is actually very reliable, it just won't target anything closer than 60 meters which obviously sucks. On top of that even when it does lock on it doesn't reliably hit weakspots so your usually using more ammo than you would with well placed shots with Recoiless, EAT, or Quasar for the rocket launcher with the least ammo. I've definitely seen clips of the thing just refusing to work which apparently is due to small obstructions like foliage or buildings that don't look like they should block LOS on something as big as a Bile Titan but for some reason do anyway. IDK, thing definitely needs some kind of buff, with lock on consistency and either ammo, accuracy , or damage to compensate for never hitting the head.

One tip for using the railgun against chargers, it is better to aim for the head now. Easier to hit and faster to kill

I like the idea of the negative modifiers being tied to on the ground objectives that you can destroy to remove the effect. It lets them be the mix up that they're supposed to be but also lets you get rewarded for playing the side objectives.

You just have to know how to fight the bots, a lot of people just run shotguns and get bogged down fighting an endless horde of bots. Atleast in my experience engaging bots from a distance and knowing when to disengage makes a world of difference.

To make bots easier use the anti material rifle. It two shots hulks if you shoot the eye, kills scout striders from the front (shooting the crotch area gives a chance at one shotting, shooting the main shield 3 shots), and can one shot everything else. It also makes the heavy devastators (shield guys) trivial as you can just shoot them in the face with high zoom. It can also kill the large cannon towers if you shoot the weak spot enough times. Just remember to bring anti-crowd and anti-tank stratagems. Or all of one. You play with a team so being a specialist works too. The spear is also good against bots as you can destroy factories and the other small enemy structures from a distance. Supposedly jammers too, but I have never got the spear to lock on to a jammer which is very annoying

I personally lost fuel for bugs. The hunter's poison stun + gang ups and the bile spewers one shots, the bugs got annoying after a bit. Don't get me wrong they can still be a lot of fun, but the bots hit that late game difficulty sweet spot that I need. They're overall tougher, that if you play as if you were against bugs. I can't overstate enough just how essential is to use cover and aim for the head (even diff. 9 is very much doable without stealth if you use these 2 simple tactics). The mighty devastators fall like flies if you just stand behind a rock and shoot their heads. Tanks and towers fall easily with 2 impact grenades to the back. Dropships can actually get destroyed before dropping troops, while for bugs the second a bug exhales one gas molecule the breach can't be stopped. In other words if you just play bots a bit more carefully, they can be even easier than bugs. Although if you enjoy going Rambo on your enemies then by all means, the bugs are always there for you.

It was a sneaky update The sharp chargers an elite charger more armor better aoe on the stomps, they also added a second loadout for the automaton hulk thats shooty not melee/flamethower old ones called bruiser hulk now Regular chargers and bruiser hulks are heavy when you ping it sharp chargers and the other hulk are elites

Fighting the bots past level 6 is beyond annoying to me XD Mainly cause they INSTANTLY call for reinforcements and, on top of that, their bullets (As well as ours) ends up alerting more bots across the field/map. So now you have a swarm of bots for getting seen by one bot. It doesn't help that they literally teleport to your location at times just from spawning in. The cherry on top is it feels like they never miss. While I hate the little stalkers, I'd much rather get stun locked by them over 6 different bots shooting me with a laser. Overall, the bugs give me a challenge and it's just more fun.

If you struggle with the bots, I really recommend the Ballistic Shield with any heavy armor that has the Fortified effect. You can take a couple rockets without dying most times.
