Just to let you know that clamping was made illegal for enforcing private parking. Only the DVLA and Police can clamp - in reality only the DVLA clamp vehicles which haven't paid road tax (VED). If anyone else clamps your vehicle it is a criminal offence to do so under S. 54 Protection of Freedoms Act 2012

One would presume, having a clamping business, would therefore be lawfully permitted. I suspect this law is meant for some random person immobilising another random person's vehicle.

Liaison officers are still normal PC's, but they have additional training to act as a 'go between' for the police and organisers of demonstrations or fans of football matches. They try to build up good rapport with them and generally just try to keep the peace without resorting to excessive numbers of police swarming in. They also covertly gather intelligence from these interactions on group leaders, possible intentions etc. similar to FIT (Forward Intelligence Teams) in that sense

Albert Bridge House, a place that struck fear into those having to be assessed for disability allowance! The DWP had an office in here with doctors that carried out health and mental health assessments of claimants. I know this cos my mate took his wife for an assessment. Borrowed their neighbours wheelchair, drove to a car park nearby, took out the wheelchair and he wheeled her in. Had the assessment, full PIP daily living and mobility! They're ALL at it! Got a headache, claim PIP!
