Hi Erik, I noticed you have reviewed both this drone and the foldape4. I know none of them are built specifically for freestyling, but would like to check with you which one do you think is more fun to freestyle. Beginner drone pilot here with around 50 hours of acro mode in the simulator trying to decide on my first drone.

@@daffes Hello! Of these two the Cinelog35 v2 is by far the better choice for freestyle. The foldape4 is pretty sluggish and underpowered and I suspect not very durable. I have found the CL35 to freestyle decently, it’s pretty tough and 6S power is great. I should also add it’s just more versatile in most ways. It’s pretty fast, can be flown slow, etc.

Hello, How's your experience using FPV controller with O3?

Honestly it works really well for my hands. I only use it with a couple quads but I like it. I’m not overly sensitive about gimbals, they feel nice and smooth to me though. A friend of mine (former racer) exclusively uses it and he can fly circles around most people.

Thanks bud! The 35 is really great, if I could only have one, this would probably be it. I’ve never flown the 25 but I’ve flown the cinelog20, 30, 35 performance, the V2 and the Cinebot30.

Do you have blheli or bluej flashed on that ESC? Have you tried Betaflight 4.5 on it? I had an ESC go out so I had to rebuild mine and BF 4.4.1 is no longer available Le, figured I would go to 4.5 since the fixed GPS Rescue

Erik, if you have to pick an FPV drone, which one will you choose, the Pavo35 or the GEPRC CineLog35?

Unfortunately I have no experience with the Pavo35 and my only Pavo experience, the Pavo Pico, wasn’t good. So based on my very limited experience with anything from BetaFPV I would go with the Cinelog35.

Thank you very much. That is correct, the DJI FPV 2 controller can work with the O3 and with the original DJI system (Vista/link or full size air unit) as long as all the wires are connected and the firmware is updated.

Hi, as long as you are using the full cable for the O3 and have sbus selected as your receiver in Betaflight, you should be able to just bind it by long pressing the power button on the RC 2 and pressing the bind button on your O3 with a toothpick or something not metal.

Whats the range you're getting with this setup? Cinelog35 + DJI. I fly DJI Air 3 but not sure if I want to go outside the realm of DJI products due to them having good GPS, etc. Any insight is appreciated, finger doesn't want to pull the trigger..ha.

I’ve not truly pushed it to its limits but I have gone over a mile out with it. The specs for the DJI O3 and the FPV remote 2 are good for at least 10K/6.2 miles. The GPS on FPV drones is very different than a Mavic, it’s not DJI and no where near as good but it’s better than nothing. Here’s a longer flight with this exact setup that I did. Thanks for your reply.. appreciate it greatly. I know there is almost no comparison of a Mavic to FPV when it comes to GPS range. That being said, I'm okay with it and understand the harsher limitations. The specs you have listed in description on the build... "Receiver: GepRC EP1" is the ELRS 2.4 option on their website? @@smithe68 I've got a TARANIS radio but hesitant on buying a DJI FPV remote controller 2 because way less buttons?? Do you think the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2 is fine for flying the CineLog35?

@@AMS_Dronez no problem and you are ahead of the game then 👍 yes it is an option with the ELRS receiver, mine came with it and normally I fly ELRS but I took it out to use elsewhere temporarily and never got around to putting it back. For FPV drones you really don’t need many buttons. Arm, modes, gps rescue, flip over and maybe beeper are really it. There are two 3 position switches that can cover most of it and a 2 position for arming. If you go with the DJI remote you won’t have as much range as ELRS but most people won’t ever go out 10km. I hope that helps.
