I played this album for my toddler/sons WHO LEARNED TO TALK and my oldest in Pre-School and Kindergarten would tell Elvis' Funny Jokes. He got everyone LAUGHING with just the "WELL. . .WELL. . .WELL" joke. . . .ONE "word" Joke. His teachers asked to borrow my Album(s) to tape record the songs like; Saints Go Marching In from Frankie and Johnny! One of the Teachers also taught Sunday School in the basement of the church while all the adults were listening to the Minister up stair. {SMILING} When that Sunday School Teacher played the Saints song and etc., the kids were STOMPING, MARCHING, CLAPPING their hands. They were so LOUD. . .just having FUN :)

I am a HUGE Elvis fan, but i would never pay a dime to listen to him speak all the way through an album. This album proves how little respect Tom Parker, and RCA had for the fans.
@TCB_MAMA2 ай бұрын
RCA had nothing to do with this. Here’s the backstory…. It’s Parker fueled, he was TRASH. n 1974, Elvis Presley released Having Fun With Elvis on Stage, an album consisting of over thirty minutes of haphazardly compiled banter from his concerts. It includes no songs and it is completely devoid of context. Save for maybe one brief section, there are no insights into Presley's life. What's included is so incoherent, you don't really get an idea of his stage presence, despite the fact that all the audio comes from his shows. The album was the brainchild of Elvis's manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Parker created a company called Boxcar to manage Presley's commercial rights (while securing the majority of profits for himself), with an eye to eventually turn it into a full-blown record company. Because of Elvis's deal with RCA, Boxcar could not release a normal Elvis record with music. Instead, Parker had to go around this by selling an album that was just his client speaking. Having Fun With Elvis on Stage was the only LP Boxcar ever put out, and it's roundly considered to be one of the worst albums of all time.
@yellyman54832 ай бұрын
@@TCB_MAMA Thank you for the insight. I never knew that at all. I know that Elvis hated this album. Parker was a horrible manager for Elvis. He only cared about the money.

This album is down to Elvis' manager Colonel Tom Parker. He was trying to make some extra money off of Elvis' performances, but RCA owned the rights & profits from the songs, so Parker figured the between song talk could be marketed & that he could keep the majority of the profits from the sales of the album. Eventually RCA took it off him. This album has left the building... Thankyou... thankyou very much!.

Elvis had such good humor, charisma and charm that just listening to him interact with people makes me smile. Especially his fans. You'd probably have to be an Elvis fan to like this album. I know I wouldn't want to listen to a music less album of a band or singer I didn't really like. People can bad mouth him and this album, but the album wasn't his idea, and I don't think he liked or would've liked an album being released of him just talking. Parker knew he'd make money on pretty much anything that had to do with Elvis. He was a greedy man. I would love to go to a concert that was so personable. I don't know of any other singer/band that does what Elvis did. I've never been to a concert where the singer/band cared about their fans. They just want the money. That's all anybody cares about anymore. Elvis was so different. He didn't worship his money. He was very generous and charitable.
