Great reaction! I agree that the bassist does seem to be under-appreciated. When they were recording the Error album, producer David Bendeth worked with the girls on refining their technique. In DPA's (Dany, Pau and Ale) words, "It's like we had to learn how to play all over again." (or something close to that) David noted that Ale was ALWAYS in time and told Pau and Dany to follow her lead for the timing. Ale has always been an amazing bassist and has been a featured artist by Spector guitars, since she was 13 years old. They even have a custom finish that they offer, called "Ale's Inferno". Ale wanted the wood on her guitar to look a bit like fire, with black smoke around the edges, so they went with a buckeye burl on redwood, with a maple neck and inlaid ebony fingerboard. Ale's guitar has small red LED lights on the top side of the neck to help her get her finger position when the lights are out. But - yeah - I'm off the path in a totally different branch of the rabbit hole, with this one. I'll end with the thought that it's pretty damn cool that you have your own model of guitar, when you're only 15 years old. Keep rocking with The Warning. Their new single, 'More' is great. They're making big waves.

Ale is probably one of the best bassist in this generation of rock. IMO. Check out their cover of muse hysteria when they where much younger and Ale nails the very busy basd line in it.

I totally agree that the bass is always overlooked. The advantage to The Warning is that being sisters, they're not going to let Ale get drowned out in the mix, and they make sure she plays prominently in their live sets.

No one expects what is now called "Pau's scream of destruction" when they first hear this. Ale reminds me of John Entwistle from The Who, a quiet solid bass player whose riffs weave through the song. Pau is my favourite, I love her energy and beat the heck out of her drum kit power. I know she has broken sticks and the occasional drum head 😄

I think Ale is often underrated as a bass player by the uninitiated, but other bass players have commented on her skill, and of course the Spector Bass company recognized her talent at a very young age, making her their youngest sponsored artist. Enjoyed your reaction! 👍😎

Nice react !!! Dany and Pau go Crazy.... But Ale keeps Her eyes on Her Sisters at ALL times, keeping them In Check and on time... She does not "say much" but Holy Crap "What a Force " !!! ⚡
@ZWQ945 Жыл бұрын
She does do that. She will tell them if she does not like their outfit before going on stage and tell them, "You are not wearing that outfit." Remember she is nearly 5 years younger than Dany and nearly 3 years younger than Pau but that does not stop her. She also has to have the last word in an argument. Pau has described her as "being scary at times". She also has the best poker face and won all the Jolly Ranchers by bluffing with nothing hands playing poker when they were in New Jersey recording the "Error" album.

A lot of TW songs are driven by Ale. I love the way she always takes the right space where she is needed. Rhythm, second guitar, melody, perfect harmonies ... For someone that hates the spotlight and stands but a few feet away from two strong frontwomen, she manages to make you look toward her in her equal share to the others. She balances the flavors in this extraordinary musical dish. Great reaction ... again!!!

Pau is always grooving along and singing even when she's not actually singing. There is no better drummer to just watch. Ale prefers finger picking, but occasionally uses a pick, and even though she seems chill she is never missing a beat. Thanks. P.s. lots of A7X fans here watching that are also fans of TW. 😊

Thank you for supporting our wonderful and talented girls the warning. In particular, I've been following them since they were little and they already broke views records on KZbin. You should immerse yourself more in this spectacular world of the warningrockband and you will end up confirming how extraordinary they have been during their musical growth. The three are geniuses in handling their instruments and functions within the band. The road has not been easy, they sacrificed hours and time to be what they have achieved so far, with the full support of their parents. They have been on various tours and have opened concerts for renowned bands. They deserve everything they have achieved and more. They're Wonderful and Powerful. Grettings Michael !!! It's been obvious since she was 9 or 10 years old that Ale is not challenged at all by the type of music the band plays. She's been trained since she was around 8 years old by one of her dad's old friends, Pablo González Sarre, a phenominally talented bassist with Mexican pop rock band Los Claxons - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqbNoqiJYr2Ud9U - That also explains why she's so accomplished at adjusting her bass play to compliment whatever the other members are doing (or not doing).

Another great reaction! Check out the other videos from this session-you recently reacted to CHOKE from Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City), but you should also watch CHOKE from this session, even if you don’t do a video reaction to it. Also-EVOLVE has become their show closer and Pau gets the whole audience wound up and clapping while Alé is rocking that bass line….then comes what is now known among The Warning Army (TWA) as PAU’S SCREAM OF DESTRUCTION!

Nice Reaction! Evolve has been their encore song for a while now, maybe since it came out. The Warning is on tour right now and playing Dallas tonight (5/14) then to New Orleans, Atlanta and Charlotte. After Charlotte they go to Daytona to the Rockville Festival (5/18 - 5/21) and I saw the list of performers and Avenged Sevenfold (I love A7X also) is also playing there. I don't know if they will run into each other, but you never know. After Rockville The Warning has a few more gigs, then they will be heading to Europe for the first time.

Great comment, Michael, on something that has always seemed obvious to me, but no reactor had expressed. Indeed, being on stage, Ale is not isolated, she is well integrated into the band and, nevertheless, Ale creates her own world. A physical and musical space where she reigns.

This video was my introduction to The Warning, maybe 10 weeks ago. It was hook, line and sinker for me. "In her own world" might be a little harsh for Ale, but she definitely avoids the limelight and I completely understand what you were saying. And, as others have commented, she's dead-on perfect on bass, with flawless timing and inventive bass lines. Great reaction, your knowledge shines through.

@@dj1rst It's a "cleaner" recording, but the ladies are so precise in their carefully constructed composition that all the "versions" kind of seamlessly blend together. I just saw them a couple weeks ago now live, and - as usual - this was the closer... and outside the "organics" of a live performance (including Pau *commanding* the audience to clap, which no one dared disobey), it was pretty much exactly the same as listening to the album track, or watching the official video, or watching this. Yes; there are subtle differences in recording techniques and mixing... but "the song remains the same". Deliberately and carefully so, which is one of the things I love about them.

My apologies...I am so late to this thread! Great comments for a great performance! And I like the fact you spent a little more time talking about Ale. But as a bassist yourself, I find it a tiny bit odd that you did not mention the 2 instances when Ale plays harmonics. Harmonics are usually more common with the guitarist, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear those 2 pair of notes...like icing on a cake! With all that hard driving music, then just pop those harmonics...is that what they call sublime?
