Who Is Antwuan Dixon (Documentary)

WHO IS ANTWUAN DIXON is a 15 minute documentary that I wrote, produced, and directed with my good friend Antwuan Dixon. Antwuan is one of the best professional skateboarders in the world and comes form a very hard and interesting life. Antwuan lived with me on and off for about 6 months and after seeing so many videos of him fighting for 15 or 30 seconds we decided to show the real Antwuan Dixon. We wanted to give a real look at this amazing one of a kind person and give him a chance to tell his story through his eyes.

Antwuan Dixon is an inspiration that you can make something of yourself, kids idolize him because he doesn't put on a façade. I respect his style and his take on how things are, live life to the fullest and enjoy it but if someone crosses you handle your shit. Mad respect, you and TK showed me that a kid from the hood can be something and still be yourself.

2008, went to a baker demo in tulare Ca with a couple buddies, was probably 13 years old. We all got baker decks just to get them signed by the team. My buddy kyle put his deck on the table and it started to get signed. Board got to Antwaun he picks it up, looks at it and says ‘this board twisted as a motherfucker, aye somebody get this kid a good deck this ones some bullshit’ and gave him a brand new deathwish board, before we had even seen deathwish decks at the skateshops. Instantly became my favorite skater that day. Told my buddy ‘ you better ride this one, put that fucked up one on your wall’ much respect to antwaun stand up dude

Back in the days this guy showed me how to be a better skater. He pushed me to be great and even had me play SKATE with other skaters that were known to be "better" than me around the city. Its always great to see a childhood friend make it big in this world. And one thing i can vouch for is that he was always a great and compassionate guy and easy to be around. Always caring and willing to help others out...but you piss him off u better run.
