Hawaii Five-O ends after 10 seasons

After 10 seasons, CBS is cancelling the remake of Hawaii 5-O.

They do not cancel it. Alex ( Steve) was not going to participate in season 11. They thought Scott ( Danny) could go on with another partner, but it seems he didn't want to do it, and that's why they decided abruptly to finish it. Hawaii 5-0 without the two protagonists it is not the same.

Old Codger65 I think it was just gonna be hard to keep the show running after 10 Seasons Because that’s Already a lot of money they spent on the whole series for all the seasons and Epsoides after that would be hard to keep it going because they’d either have to dial back from 20+ Epsoides to less Epsoides per Season for Seasons 11&12 if they ever decided to do a Season 11&12. Also the creators of it probably Wanna move on from doing the show along with a good portion of the cast and crew since they’ve been doing the show for 10 or more Years and 10 Seasons. Plus for all we know the creators of it probably only had 10 seasons of it fully planned out to begin with unless the ratings and views were a lot higher to keep it going on after 10 Seasons.

Wrong, this wasn't anything to do with money. This series has been highly profitable for CBS and would continue to be. The reason it's ending is because Alex O'Loughlin (McGarrett) has suffered a flare-up of the back injuries he suffered earlier in the series and is physically unable to continue. Treatment is expected to be successful again, but it is going to take longer this time. That's why the show is ending, not money concerns.

They weren't fired. They quit because they didn't get paid what Alex and Scott got paid. Just like with the original series, "Steve McGarrett" and "Danny Williams" were the two most important characters, so the actors playing them got paid more.

Mikey Riley that has nothing to do it CBs probably just doesn’t want to continue it after 10 Seasons because it would take a lot of money to do more seasons after Season 10 Ends. Even if Kono and Chin were still on it it still would have had the same fate eventually. All good things eventually come to an end at some point.

A) Grace Park is not Korean. B) They weren't fired, they chose to leave. C) The reason this wonderful series is ending is not because of any dispute, it's because Alex O'Loughlin (Steve McGarrett) is suffering from a flare-up of the back injuries he suffered early in the series and won't be able to continue because of that. CBS did not want this series to end, it's highly profitable for them, and the ratings did not suffer after KKD and Park left, the show has kept going strong with the new cast members.

Rowana Forrest yeah but it also wasn’t renewed the entire time the tenth season has aired at any point so you can’t say cbs wanted to continue it even if the ratings were still good because Alex was also getting tired of doing the show after Season 7 but he still kept going in order to be respectful and nice. CBS easily could have gotten tired of doing the show too plus they gave each season like 20+ that starts to add up after a while you can’t say it wasn’t a money problem...etc...

Noland Ono I think it was just gonna be hard to keep it going there comes a point in time when tv shows exhaust their overall budgets for all the seasons for tv shows espeically after 10 seasons and when everyone who works on it also has normal lives that they wanna get back to outside of the show. Even if it lasted 12 seasons the last 2 seasons if they were meant exist probably wouldn’t be 20+ epsoides in order to have enough money to do the last 2 seasons. The show probably would have had a hard time in general going past 10 Seasons it gets more expensive to keep shows going the more you do more seasons espeically after 10 Seasons. Also the original one probably had a much bigger budget to work with to do 12 Seasons. The reboot one with Alex and Scott would probably have had to dial back the number of epsoides for the last 2 seasons if the last 2 Seasons were meant to exist. I think the creators of it were eventually gonna end it after 10 Seasons anyway because after Season 10 it was gonna be a lot harder to keep it going since all those who work on it have normal lives they wanna get back to since they’ve been doing the show for 10 Seasons.

Noland Ono ik I understood that part of what you said.IAm just saying I don’t think that’s the main reason cbs decided to cancel the reboot of it. It probably had more to do with the money after Season 10 since the show is up to almost 240 epsoides total by now

G Lee I don’t think it has to do the people who don’t like it I think it was just gonna be hard to keeping on after 10 Seasons because the people who work on it cast,crew,writers and creators wanna move on from it since they have lives outside of doing the show that they wanna get back to and they should be allowed to get back to their normal lives. They already used up a lot of money between all 10 Seasons and all the epsoides they are paying for and even if the last 2 seasons would have existed the number of epsoides probably wouldn’t be 20+ Epsoides

Good Riddance this show sucks anyways I love The Rookie on ABC about The LAPD. I never watch Hawaii 5-0 because it sucks.

Khoa Nguyen it doesn’t really suck to most people who actually love it I just think it would have been hard to keep it going on after 10 Seasons because of money for production for the Epsoides because if they had done Seasons 11&12 then the last 2 remaining seasons if they existed would have had to dial back on the number of Epsoides from 20+ to something else which would have made the last 2 seasons have lesser Epsoides in it. This show doesn't suck, it might actually be the fact, its hard to keep it going after 10 seasons actors get tired and have their on lives, the show that really suck the law and order svu. 20 seasons of bullshita it is tiring to see it renewed for a new season every year. Same repetitive cases. That must be the one to cancel.
