@lavapix @0:57 if that vent stopped flowing into the lake and it cooled it would of sunk down reviling a tube and the inside of the vent

Most often the vents collapse into themselves once they die out. The entire huge vent could suddenly lose its supply of magma and form a collapse pit like in 2018.

Its fissures and tubes. The pressure builds from the influx of magma and the weak spots give way.
