[Hawaii] Maui Fire Station Visit & Response!

Captured here is Fire Station No. 10 of the Maui County Fire Department (MFD), located in the urbanized Kahului area, near the island's airport. Station 10 is considered the main fire station on Maui and is home to an engine, a tanker, a hazmat unit, and a heavy rescue truck. On top of this, there are several utility vehicles, which are used to respond to medicals or minor emergencies when crews want to avoid taking the bigger specialized units. Kahului Fire Station also functions as a mechanical division for the Maui County Fire Department, which means you will always find a variety of units from all over the island out here for repair and maintenance. You will also see an American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance responding on the island, as well as some vehicles of the Maui County Police Department.

Awesome catch! Many fire departments on Vancouver Island also have utility style trucks they they send for medicals. Keeps the engines and bigger rescues available for fires or larger rescue operations.

Here in the U.S. Fire Truck's come in many different body color type's: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Orange, Purple, Black, White, I actually saw a Grey and Pink one too.

Definitely enjoyed the entire video! AND ALSO THE POLICE. I noticed 2:56 & 4:10 that Ocean Safety unit, seems like... fire coastguard?! That's super cool:D Also loved the fact that in Hawaii units has a yellow-based livery! Incredible TGG! Happy New Year!! :)

Thanks! If it’s during the Pandemic it’s understandable that they won’t like people coming into the station. I have not visited stations for a long time now. This footage was filmed pre-COVID.

1:00 AMAZING scenery! 1:28 TGG you have family? 1:36 I like the look of all the trucks(mainly because they're yellow), but I especially like this one! 3:59 I think that's a brush (wildland) fire truck. That's why it's green.
