Hawaiian Airlines 717-200 economy class ITO-HNL

I took to same aircraft in 2014 HNL-ITO-HNL. Nice little aircraft. I love Hilo airport. Their airport seats are so smooth! I will return to HNL and ITO next february. I can't wait!!! Nice video buy the way. Lots of great souvenirs for me! Cheers from Montreal, Canada

Yeah, I love HNL. The open-air terminal is very cool, and there is a nice variety of traffic to watch coming in from Asia and North America. One of my favorite airports for sure!

HNL-ITO-HNL is my typical flight always on Hawaiian Air. Hilo is known to be rainy and cloudy. Your morning looked great to me, and the morning flight going into HNL gave you a clear view of a mostly cloudless Oahu. Just added you to my subscribed channels.

Thanks! The funny thing about that flight was that it was the first time I had seen sun during the entire trip. It was sunny when I arrived, but the rains soon came and didn't let up until I arrived at the airport to go home that day. Oh well. I love Hawaii and I plan on going back next chance I get. You are lucky to live in Paradise!

Definitely - I don't know how comfortable they would be on longer segments, but for these short inter-island flights, they are perfect!

I see this is one of your older videos. Interesting to note that my wife and I flew this same aircraft, N484HA, on 6/12/18 from HNL to OGG. I am an airplane nerd and keep track of which aircraft I fly on.

The odds are actually higher than you think as 2 yrs ago (when you posted) Hawaiian airlines only had 12 Boeing 717s. But that's cool.

It’s somewhat acceptable on these Hawaiian 717s though, since the flights are usually very short.

Actually none of the above! It was a full load (well, maybe 90%), and very hot. It was quite humid though, so the dense air might have had something to do with it.

Woah I had to do a double take and make sure I wasnt watching a Frontier video. Seeing those Acro seats bring me back to work 🤣. Totally wasnt expecting Hawaiian to have no recline seats like a ULCC. I thought it was generally unacceptable on a legacy like that, I guess not lol.
