Cool story! My local library has 3 books of Hawaiian ghost stories/obake. I loved reading them. They are so different from the usual ghost stories I know. I discovered this channel today. S faafiti yaaa I think it is the Contessa. When me, my mom and sister we’re looking for a new place to possibly move. We looked at an apartment at the Contessa. I’m not kidding, I got major hibby jibbies in that apartment. Plus guess what the view was... of the old Japanese cemetery. Ya we definitely decided on NOT getting that place. And eventually decided to not move 😬😬😬

I drove for Oahu Transit and I spoke with the security guard at the Contessa who used to catch my bus and he said he never experienced anything. Also I never heard of this story. I'm sure if something like this happened it would make the news.

Unko, does this also encompass Hawaiian culture/ Polynesian Tribal tattoos? I would like to get a Polynesian inspired tattoo to commemorate the love, aloha and mana I received whilst living in Hawaii 🙂 I whole heartedly believe in aloha (respect) - of the land, people and culture and don’t want to anger any spirits. I don't have any tattoos. I'm not from a society that practised it. When I lived in Hawai'i someone encouraged me to get a Polynesian tattoo. I declined. I respect the Polynesian traditions, but I do not understand them and don't want to get involved with things I don't know or understand.
