🐢☮️THE MOST BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER BEEN PRIVILEDGED TO SEE. IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES TO BE SO CLOSE TO THESE TURTLES. TURTLES ARE THE INTERNATIONAL SIGN OF PEACE✌️☮️

You have the beach full of happiness and turtles. I have a yard full of snow beauty in 2 different ways. Both are the Universe's creations. 💕

Another piece of history... In the late sixties and early seventies my uncles and my step dad, who is pure Hawaiian, used to be turtle hunters! It was a delicacy back then. My step dad still has his harpoon that he hunted countless of turtles with.

Wow! That is very interesting as I have heard many discussions about whether or not they were part of the Hawaiian diet. I heard on Moloka'i it was eaten. Mahalo nui loa, Keith. It has been an honor to have you share history with me. I feel very blessed to know you & I appreciate ALL of your mana'o & historical accounts. @@wedbeebuzznhawaii8623 Funny thing is my step dad was from Moloka'i. But my uncles who were born and raised here were ocean men and hunters. I was a kid in the sixties and seventies and they would catch a turtle at least once a month. And Kaua'i is home to our Hawaiian Ancestors, so I would think they would have learned from their Elders. It was a delicacy among a lot of families back then. Aloha!
