Please consider adding power washer specs (psi/gpm) as well as orifice size in the canon. MTM Canon typically ships with the 1.25 installed but provides a 1.1 as well in the box. Different soap brands perform differently depending on psi, GPM, and orifice size. To me, they both look terribly runny. Try putting in the 1.1 orifice and give it another go.
@namir912 жыл бұрын
totally agree, both of those should foam way thicker than that with a 1.1 the mix was way too watery and doesn't do either of these soaps justice. I have an MJJC and its like shaving cream, this looks like garden hose foam gun with how runny it is
@wyaldkingdom3 жыл бұрын
I'm a detailing enthusiast, I am not a professional detailer. From my point of view, it seems nice that a thicker foam would give you more cling time. It would allow you to work other areas before the soap runs off and then possibly dries out in the sun. However, if you're moving quickly enough then it doesn't matter. Without contact washing, they leave the same amount of dirt. So why pay double the cost for something that is not twice as good?
@HawaiiDetailing3 жыл бұрын
I like thick foam that is slick on the paint and has a good overall working experience. I do contact washes and want the longest working time so that I can do my contact wash with a slick fully foamed surface and get around the whole vehicle without the foam dissipating or running off. Other then that its the little things like, pours thin and easy into the cannon, slickness on the paint, Smells great, Affordable per wash etc. Thanks for watching

So when washing a vehicle. You use the foam cannon and let the dirt break down and wash it off ? Or do you foam the vehicle and rinse and then do a contact wash ? Also what angle are you using on the pressure washer for the water to rinse the vehicle?

@@mariaacosta7428 Foam. dwell for a few. rinse with pressure washer and white tip though I prefer green. yellow is a little harsh. foam again and contact wash. blow dry with leaf blower and do final wipe with microfiber cloth.

As a pro let me tell you this. Stickyness and cling is far from the signs of a good prewash. Three of the best prewashes that actually work out there, has a relatively thin foam. Not only does foam need to migrate down the car to actually work, it needs to be wet. These thick foams have shockingly little contact with the dirt thought you might not think so. Look at how thin the foam of a Bilt Hamber soap is, and yet is one of the best prewash soaps out there. Truth is that all these reviews talk a big game of how thick foam is, but very few talk about the actual cleaning properties of the soap. I have this in my toolbox and I use it as a foam booster on hot days, but that's it. As an actual "soap" or prewash, not only is it poor at cleaning, it leaves a nasty residue you need an APC or citrus cleaner to get rid of. As a pro, you need to be efficient and get a great result, otherwise you're out of business. These "toy" foams are not efficient or good at cleaning, they just smell nice and look cool. Save your money and buy a real soap. It does not need to be a hardcore high ph soap all the time, but it needs some cleaning abilities. This honeydew stuff, has none.
@TheCarDetailingChannel3 жыл бұрын
Always entertaining and enjoyable to watch! I use both of these on a regular basis and for me, Adam’s is a thicker foam and more slick with the same amount of concentrate. I find that the foam from the honeydew starts out very thick but then thins out quickly. Even though the CG Honeydew is the cost king, the Adam’s is still better overall in my opinion.

Currently it's about 31 vs 46 cents (if you buy the gallon sizes) so it's "only" about 50% more rather than twice the price. At 2 ouces per, it's literally 30 extra cents per car wash. That's nothing. If you're running a car wash and do 100k washes per year, ok, but if you're just washing your car once a month, it's infinitesimal.
@will13k73 жыл бұрын
when you get your pressure washer matched with the right orifice size and foam lance, you can put any of the popular brands in and get super thick shaving cream foam. too thick even. the thing with the chemical guys snow foam when putting it on thick is a slight film it leaves behind that takes a little extra rinsing to get off. lately I've been liking auto finesse's snow foam, they ship directly to the states now. it seems to do a little better job breaking up containments so you can get more off the paint with the prewash.

I agree, if you have an electric power washer that’s under 2000psi, if you put a 1.1 orifice in your foam cannon you can blow shaving cream with 1oz of Adams mega foam.
@AB-80X2 жыл бұрын
@@davidbaca7853 You don't need 2000 psi. You need to know what you are doing. Most people don't even measure the actual flow rate of their equipment, so how on earth would you know how much soap to use? Also, psi matters a lot less than flow rate. I see mobile detailers with efficient lightweight equipment that runs in the 1500-1800 psi range that flows maybe 8 gpm, that will outfoam most hobbyists with their big 3000 psi gas powered machines. Ever heard the expression "All the gear, no idea"? It is so utterly ridiculous that a company just say use X amount in your lance. Some lances will pull 400 ml of product in the same time another will pull 600 ml. So much snake oil and B.S in this industry, and the consumers are the losers who get the short end of the stick.

I want to start of my comment by saying I love your channel, as a rookie detailer i use your content a lot to educate myself with the chemicals and equipment needed to provide excellent customer satisfaction when doing details BUT I wish role models like yourself in the detailing world would provide a more honest personal opinion about these products. I see a lot of guys endorsing “Adams” but after using “Adams super foam” I’ve realized it has the same cleansing power as cheaper or less popular brands. I’m not saying Adams produces bad products but I feel like the detailing industry is misleading young Entrepreneurs into wasting there money on popular brands instead of educating us on brands that perform equally or better then for less money. Overall I respect and enjoy your content and will continue to admire the valuable information you provide your audience with.

If you are detailing for money you should be shopping at a local detail supply shop, buying your products in bulk and diluting down as needed into your own spray bottles for the best value. There are product lines like P&S that take the guessing out of diluting yourself and offer ready to use products at a fair price. Consider that if you are not ready to go the do it yourself route. I have not used anything from P&S that sucks. That’s what I recommended. Hope that helps

After using both for a while now, I only use the Adams Mega Foam. It does foam thicker vs the Honeydew ( I have the MJJC pro ) but It's not just the foam, it's the cleaning properties. You like a high PH soap. Bummer is depending how well it peals dirt off the paint it also takes a hit on sealants and protections and is very unforgiving in direct sunlight. Most people want a PH neutral Soap that does not strip protection and is forgiving in most working environments having a low risk of spotting. In this PH neutral class of soaps regardless of brand you have a few things that can make one stand out more then the other. Foaming ability (hangs on the paint long enough to make your way around the car without drying or falling off) Lubricity (able to agitate without marring) Smell (why not) and overall value for the money. These are my thoughts at least. Thanks for watching.

Did you mix 750ML water with 2oz soap? That is one heck of a concentration! I find its better to determine exactly how much it takes to foam down the car and REDUCE THE WATER to that amount. That way you have LESS water to more soap ratio without having to add more soap. I find I can fill it up to the 600ml or even 500ml and keep the 2oz which gives much better foam.

This one looks like a close call, but I would say the Adams Mega Foam is probably a better product overall. Chemical Guys is definitely a better buy so for an enthusiast or weekend warrior on a budget, it's the clear choice and would give solid results but for the person who always wants "the best" of what's available out there, Adams would probably be a better choice. Either one looks great. I would love to see the Adams Mega Foam go up against Koch Chemie GSF. Koch GSF ("Gentle Snow Foam") seems to be "all the rage" lately across KZbin land amongst the KZbinr Detailers pumping out their videos! Everyone who uses it seems to like it and it's a solid value too. It's almost like Koch has been issuing a "throw down" to other detailing product companies lately. I have several of their products and they are a great value and SOLID performers! Those German's can surely make some seriously good car detailing products! Well, as badly I would have to say: Adam’s lol because of the lather stayed on longer than Chemical Guys for more agitation and cleaning! Even though I also do use Chemical Guys?
