That was wonderful. Its two-thirty in the morning and I should be in bed, but sleep be damned, I wanted to hear this one more time. Thanks a million.

I’m putting together a “best of Corey and Kalei” playlist, and this goes right in there. Corey’s solo is brilliant, the best jazz playing I’ve ever heard from him (and I’ve listened to a lot of Corey in the last 2 years).

Enjoyed your talent. Hey do you guys know every chord and note you are playing? If so who taught you? Cory seems to know where every note he picks without looking at the fret board. I love the way your hands strum and pick as well as fret the various cords and notes. Seems to be a style every good player uses. Did you have a mentor who taught you the way you fret and pick? Please respond because I want to know and learn the proper way to fret and strum and pick. Also you seem to know all your songs by memory or what someone called a ‘Road Map”. I found this to be amazingly true. I decided to learn some songs by heart. Not too good in reading musical notes, did it the hard way. I listened to recordings of some of my favorite ukulele solos and literally learned the chord and notes by where my hands fretted the chords not knowing what chords I played. I made up some chords that sounded like the sounds that were in the solos. As I played along with the solo repeatedly I began to see the “road map” of the ukulele solo. Weird no? That’s how I learned to play along with solos to the point where I couldn’t tell the difference between the solo and my own playing. I will share my video to show you what this “road map” has helped me to play solo along with the CD in my video I made.

Awesome! Never had the pleasure of playing one, but I've heard they are some of the best out there. We've used some of Petros inlay in our display cases and it's such a unique product that one of our customers requested. That was the first exposure to Petros and their amazing instruments. We also know the guys at Ukulele Site and their videos do a great job of showing the quality of all the instruments they sell. Fantastic job all around!!

Sounds good, but, you always need accompaniment to make a uke sound good. Or you have to use foot pedals which make for boring repetition. .
