Depends on which version of Hawkeye you consider Canon. This is just one of them. There's another version where he was captured and given the ability to draw the string on a bow with a huge draw weight allowing the arrow to move faster thru the air reducing his risk of missing.

Yep, I love that episode! It was "Somnambulist," season 1, ep 11, and Jeremy plays a serial killer. 😂 He also appears in the Saturday Night Live sketch, KZbin title "Hawkeye Disappoints the Avengers," which is worth watching a gazillion times. Man, he is so talented. He was terrific in the movie "Arrival," alongside Amy Adams, whose first appearance was on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," episode "Family," the Tara-centric ep written by Joss Whedon himself. 😊
