Honestly, I look at the Corolla as a vehicle that you buy because you're intentionally looking for something simple and value in mind. Start adding enough options, etc...might as well just step up to the next vehicle model in the lineup. The LE I think is the solid purchase with that in mind!

Until you hit your first curb. 18 inch tires will cost you hundreds more to replace same for the Wheels Cast Alum bends or breaks. Hub caps 18 bucks each and Steel Wheels much stronger and 16 inch Tires much cheaper. To each his own i guess. Low profile Tires on the SE just put you lower to the ground when the car is only a little more then 5 inches off the ground to start with. I own a new 2024 LE and have to back in my own driveway pulling in forward the bottom of the car scrapes the ground. These Corollas are dropped down to low, they do it for better gas mileage. Don't know if it's going to act like a Snow Plow this winter. Own a 2001 Toyota Corolla CE for the Winter months, 24 Yrs old and i can still depend on it.

I've helped my mother in law to select her new car after the previous vehicle was destroyed by a deer due to bad high-speed handling.She test drove both LE and XSE hatchback, not SE. We also test drove 2024 Pruis, Honda civic, and Tesla Model 3 and Y. We eventually purchased the XSE hatchback after considering mpg, reliability, cost, and performance. Most non car people don't realize that performance is the best safety feature before they total their cars.

Get the low profile tires will add a few hundred dollars, but it significantly increases the high-speed handling for small budget cars. High profile tires with high tread hardness ratings are more comfortable, cheaper, and last two times longer, but it also makes your car very vulnerable on the highway even if you always drive below speed limits. We don't want her to go through the terrible situation again, so we picked the car she really needs.

Get the LE. The low profile tires of the SE look sharp but I prefer the LE’s larger sidewall for everyday driving. The SE front end looks a little neater and the seats and center console are an upgrade but I don’t know if they’re worth almost $3k extra over the LE. If Toyota still had a stick I would consider paying extra $ to get the SE with its firmer suspension

To be honest people are buying it for Dependability. Second you fail to mention ( The Launch Gear added to Toyotas CVT) the reason why i went with a new 2024 Toyota Corolla LE this Sept. We are talking about basic transportation here. it cost me 23,500 out the door for 25,000. If you are looking for all the Bells and Whistles you may as well step up to a Camry. I still own a 2001 Toyota Corolla CE, Todays Corollas are bigger better built better on Fuel and give a much better ride then the ones from yrs ago. More Toys more potential problems. 32 to 40 Miles per Gallon is fine for Gas Mileage, for the driving i do that is fine. Don't need no Hybrid or Plug in Hybrids as i said more Tech more to Break.
@HawkeyeRides27 күн бұрын
I can agree and disagree as we now have a lot of options for this price and I didn’t fail anything. For this review it isn’t necessarily to explain something like the cvt as I didn’t go in depth for the engine. I give a quicker overview view of the interior, exterior as I’m sure you watched someone else explain the cvt to you. For 23/25k you could’ve got other vehicle or even a Camry which is important information for buyers especially since most do not go to other dealerships to test them.
