Great review Anthony. I'd be happy with either but if I had to choose it would be the SQ8. You are so right about that engine and exhaust note..just a symphony for sure! Question..what does the selectable light mean for the taillights? Just curious. I wonder why Audi does not have buttons in the cargo area to drop the second and third rows? So many other non luxe rides do. 77 here so far and the winds have died down quite a bit. I smell smoke but there are no fires near here thanks God. I feel so badly for all the folks affected by the other fires. It is just a mess and so many buildings lost. I have to go to PT in a bit and I'll be glad to get home. I look forward to seeing your review on the ID Buzz. You're right it is pricy but I love that it looks so different from anything else on the road. That is some great cool weather on your side and enjoy it while it lasts. Just be careful of the falling frozen iguanas lol I hope all is well and happy Wednesday Anthony

Thank you Jame. I agree I would be happy with both. The sq8 has a little better style but I kind of need a third row. The lighting can change their lighting patterns, such as during braking, signaling, or when the car is locked/unlocked, creating a sophisticated and distinctive visual effect. It’s pretty cool and Audi always has some of the best lighting. That’s good weather and you are right the weather will only be cold on this side for a few weeks. I think last year it lasted till March or May but with the hotter summers and cold winters who knows lol. For some reason this comment was help but I went into my computer and found it.i just finished the ID Buzz review edits and GLI so I hope to post it this week. Happy Wednesday James

Great overview and comparison! I prefer the SQ7. I like the exterior appearance more. Also, the SQ7 looks terrific in the black on black combination. The red stitching on the seats is a stylish touch. Lastly, the extra room and size makes this an easy choice for me.

I like them both but am retired with kids on their own, the q8 has more rear legroom... im driving the SQ8... its lux or sport, you choose.. there is a big difference between comfort and dynamic.... I like it came with real leather standard, and nice leather at that... the genesis gv80 is not even in the same category, imo.... its nice inside but the sq8 is so quiet on the highway.. just love it all around... my wife was upset I bought it, but she loves it now.. owned for 6 weeks so far.. I think I found MY car finally.... im 6'5" 240 lbs, fits me perfectly... traded a 2023 lexus rx500h on the audi..

SQ8 all the way. Much better looking and those wheels are beautiful but not a fan of the oversized wheels for durability and tire wear. The 21 in (smallest available) wheels that come with the SQ8 unfortunately are pretty homely. I almost bought one, but didn't think I could sleep at night while calculating the monthly depreciation.

They sloped the rear window too far forward... Sacrificing hauling space. Defeats the point of buying any such. "High priced SUV"-+ over$100k is fairly pointless for a grocery getter heh...

its the exact same slope as my RX 500 I traded, but the room is larger in the back, its same width, but with seats down (which actually go flat if you click them down) its 81" versus 73" in my RX. Also the side entrance is 25" tall versus 21" on my RX. Lots of space in it. The Q7/sq7 is larger if you need more. No regrets buying a SQ8, its a hoot !

I like the SQ8 better overall but I will say the front end is a little bulbous. I think they’ve been very intentional with the SQ8, they want it to be nice enough to command that 100k MSRP but not _TOO nice_ to the point that it cannibalizes the Urus. It is kinda an awkward place to be. I understand it but I still feel bad buying something you know they intentionally held back a bit.

@@Noadvantage246 I have no regrets, im not paying for a lambo lol, its a bit over the top. but I dont really like the front grill area either, but it grows on you. I love my SQ8 !
