We’ve gotten Ruinous Effigy, a weapon gifted by the Darkness that is incredibly fun and had a cool quest, and Hawkmoon, a weapon gifted by the Light that is incredibly fun and has a cool quest. Both are incredibly unique, too. Bungo maybe be having a hard time with other parts of the game, but story and exotics are at their best ever.

it doesn't increase bodyshot damage to 2 hs and 1 body so no, it does not increase forgiveness + Hawkmoon with targeting adjuster has hit max AA so eye of the storm is basically defunct as it cannot increase the accuracy of the AA above 100 if you use a targeting adjuster mod, which is better as it works everywhere.

If you never picked up the crows quest you’re able to farm hawk moon non stop instead of just the 2 per character a week. Didn’t know it wasn’t supposed to drop more than that one time and I didn’t even know you had to go to the crow, I just read that the start of the quest was in the edz. After that I just kept joining people on lfg who were already at the boss or in the survive part of the mission. I’ve gotten one to drop each and every time I think I got a total of 10 dismantling a few along the way. I only noticed that people kept getting feathers to drop and I didn’t so I looked it up and that’s when I found out crow indeed had a quest to complete. Didn’t finish it to see if after completing it no more would drop but I figured I’d check and complete it tomorrow. Kinda regret picking up the quest now but I didn’t know it wasn’t farmable like I’ve been doing it and getting the drops each and every run.

I think the best trait is opening shot. First it gives range and accuracy on the first shot. Second it can help with the gun's in air accuracy problem. Third it will help you line up that paracausal shot. It is just has so many benefits. It is the main trait im going after. Fun fact tho: i want the ship more than a good randomly rolled hawkmoon because i dont ever use hawkmoon because i dislike hcs.

Thank Gawd - after first completion of the hell of doing that solo - my first two rolls were - Opening Shot on one, Moving Target on the other, both with Smooth Grip, Moving Target had Extended Barrel and Opening Shot had Fluted Barrel - just finished the Catalyst in the Arcadian Valley in Nessus just standing and taking down those never ending spawning ads...so crisp with the Catalyst.

Surely the biggest feature of this catalyst is that if you get the perfect mag, you'll have x6 with two in the mag. As you are no longer on the final bullet, you can stow that superbullet without loosing it.

Two things, first, in the exo challegey, once you damage the Hydra boss enough it will transport. Once it does that, if you take cover behind the fire thingy, the vex will continue to spawn unless you kill the Hydra. It took us 20 minutes. Also, are you the Night Stalker?

i wholeheartedly disagree with shuro being the best spot to farm the catalyst, i would recommend shattered throne instead, specifically the area after the first encounter where all the shadow thrall spawn and you cant run (the thrallway as people call it) once you hit the first staircase going down after you get to the balcony where if you drop down theres a hidden chest, i stood at the end of the left wall and just stayed there, all the thrall just trickle in 1 by 1 for easy kills, took me 15-20 minutes give or take to finish it, i feel for ya though bud that it took 45 for you, yikes shuro imo is only good for special and heavy catalysts since you can just keep putting down flags for ammo

Yeah Thrallway is the best place for Catalyst farming, well except for if your farming Graviton Lance's Catalyst as Shadow Thrall don't spawn void cluster orbs from the guns perk. Really only annoying thing about Thrallway is the tedious amount of time it can take to get there. Especially since alot of Taken spam bugs are back since the DCV update. Infinite Acolyte eyes are a nightmare...

I originally thought I wanted range finder but with opening shot and that master work mmmmmm sounds so crispy opening shot pretty much gives you a free headshot and with that you get a bonus one meter from the catalyst reach past your original range getting you a three tap around like 33 maybe 34 meters and then after that three tap you reprochó opening shot along with the catalyst to take on another target with damage fall off starting at who knows what with opening shot but already with 33 meters for your gun without opening shot getting 34 because opening shot gives you a free headshot basically then we talkin your next three tap reaching around 37 meters then you have your perk probably with enough stacks to at least two tap because hawk moon more like hot moon and we talking two tap maybe one tap at like 40 meters oh my gosh fourth meter two tap is just barely reach into 120 rpm range and if you have lunafaction with an empowering rift oh my gosh that is so amazing

Regarding the Alloy magazine perk, the fact it's a fixed perk probably is intended as a way to promote emptying your magazine, giving you that sweet reload speed upgrade. Cloudstrike also has the same perk and it's whole "dps gimmick" works in similar fashion, so it checks as well.

Surplus is seriously slept on, running a gunslinger bottom tree build and keeping my abilities up in favor of improving the gunplay. Precision kills improve handling and stability and the hawkmoon with three abilities up barely kicks at all, reloads lightning fast and feels like I have quickdraw on. Killer on console.

Doubt, it's still not a 120 which largely dominate crucible. Hawkmoon is great, but it's still a skill based weapon which rewards risky plays with the last shot. The god roll wont change the fact that it suffers the same issues that other 140s do, most builds are based on 120 two taps these days anyways, and consistent two taps are still objectively better than the gamble that is Hawkmoon's one shot.

120s are overrated and their use exists primarily at lower levels because without a damage buff they still take 3 shots to kill and with the slower fire rate they get outgunned by 140s everytime as long as you land your shots. The same is true with hawkmoons 1 shot. It is infact not a gamble in any way because you as a player control exactly when you get it and when you use it by landing precision hits and managing mag, just don't miss

@@Michael-bf6gn 120s offer better damage, range and are much better for team shooting. In high tier pvp you never engage alone and if you do, odds are you'll be dead in a few seconds. And Hawkmoon definitely is a gamble compared to the firepower and utility 120s offer. There's a good reason why 140s see next to no use and it's because 120s simply offer better long range performance and unmatchable flinch per hit, furthermore, 140s can't contest snipers, guess which archetype can. In this meta with all the close range counters there are, using 120s is a no brainer. The whole primarily exist in lower levels is bollocks as i've been at 5,5k since the season started and only seen 120s with rare Ace users. In trials past the fifth win, all you see are 120s as well.

@@domagojgalekovic8507completely opposite from the experience I've had at higher levels, again the extra damage just does not matter when you still have to fire the 3rd bullet to kill, in that time you're already dead from an opponent with a higher ttk weapon like say every single 140 in the game. As for team shot I would recommend only 1 120 user in your comp as the extra damage will result in faster kills and better range coverage, but you never need everyone in your comp covering the same range and dealing the same damage if you're seeing more than 1 120 on a team at 5.5k that's more a testament to the poor quality of the ranked ladder than anything

1. You can farm Hawkmoon by deleting your character over and over again 2. You only get 2 drops per completion until you've acquired all feathers and unlocked the ship reward So do not open the chest in the resevoir, do not pick up the feathers along the way. Maximize your rewards!

@@dextermckinney2500 That is not my experience. Once my feather count reached 100 by opening the chest in the reservoir it no longer dropped the 2nd hawkmoon (in the same run). I've done 3 more runs after that (by deleting characters, completing the run, without picking up the ship) and still only 1 dropped.

@@dextermckinney2500 Correct, that is because they don't have all 100 feathers yet. You can do all your characters this week and not reach the 100 feather requirement and that's all the amount of hawkmoons you can get normally on a weekly basis. However you can cheat this system by deleting a character and re-run the mission on the newly created char. This will grant double hawkmoons **UNTILL** you've reached the 100 feathers cap, then you are reduced to 1 hawkmoon drop per run. My opening shot roll is fantastic; catalyst took me about 30mins. The nessus lost sector is my favorite way to get some stuff done! I tried to do the mission myself but the 1st boss fight was tough. Had to join on a friend to 2 man this mission!

Altars of Sorrow on the moon is the fastest way to grind catalysts like this. Ignore the bosses and kill trash ads. I was getting up to 20% per wave

I did the mission solo. It was a struggle but well worth it. Got snapshot and rangefinder rolls baby.. its nice to have a trying mission like whisper/outbreak back in the game. We need more exotic quests like this.

Got one with opening shoot + Full Bore + smooth grip and coupled with the catalyst 💀👀🔥. For the catalyst you can use the shattered throne, one of the best place to farm catalyst.

If you dont pick up the quest, you can farm it as many times as you want, you're not limited by the weekly quest. but you only get 1 per final chest.

The slow thrallway in the Shattered Throne is real good to farm as well if you have a fireteam with one Warlock using rifts and a Well.

barrel is between fullbore and smallbore since hammer forged only add around 0.3m to smallbore for some reason (drewsky reference). rangefinder or opening shot for the trait but rangefinder will be the go to for most since it's so consistent combat grip is thee hands down best since the difference between 96 and 100 for Hawkmoon is sky and ground as shown by drewsky

I'd recommend opening shot. Because each paracuasal shot also gives you an opening shot ish feeling with the catalyst. So if you just hit a few headshots you'll always have it active

If you run the mission without picking up the quest from Crow, you get 1 hawkmoon per run and you can keep farming on the same character. Once you pick up the quest, you get the standard 2 drops per character per week.

Got one with Full Bore and hip fire grip... Tbh, better than I thought it would be, added range alone helps out compared to the Fluted Barrel quick draw version that came with it.

My best were: Polygonal rifling, rangefinder, and textured grip. 71 stability and 86 handling. Fluted barrel, Killing Wind, and Smooth grip. 76- stability and 92 handling(Pretty much Quickdraw.) Full bore, opening shot, and combat grip. 70 range, 58 stability, and 69 handling. I'm on console and I feel higher stability is great , as it ties in with aim assist to make it feel stickier. Especially at it's max range.

I got fluted barrel, snap shot, and smooth grip. I didn't really like first form of hawkmoon, but the roll set I have feels awesome. All stability and handling, yes sir i will take it.

Dont sleep on eye of the storm. It doubles down with the catalyst in boosting your accuracy/range as you get further into a gunfight, meaning that flinch doesn’t matter as much. Makes it really easy to win those tight duels
