i was working security/setup at DE state fair one summer when tony hawk came through, maybe dew tour or something maybe 2010ish. i saw tony wandering around backstage and i wanted to say hi and thank him for coming at least, if not ask for a picture. but i figured it probably gets irritating having people approach you all the time so i didn't. he seems so cool and laid, and i'm sure he would've been cool with it in retrospect. maybe i'll get another chance someday.

On my 23 years of ushering my fondest memories were Nicole Creek, and Savion Gloves. My least favorite was Steve Martin and Martin short. Or had nothing to do with the fact that they didn’t sign autographs or greet their fans, but the fact that they were total jerks, left us standing outside, and were sneaky about exiting. If they had just sent someone out to communicate I would have way more respect! Dancing with the stars was super kind, and the gentlemen of Celtic Thunder, the cast of STOMP…Ryan Williams, Beaver Fleming, and the Nitro Circus riders are all so awesome and classy!
