Hay Day Update: New Leaderboard (Explained)

Everything Hayday has done for months is about making money, not to enhance the game or give the players a better experience . I agree about unfairness of several tasks for the same machine. If they are daily tasks they should be able to be completed in the same day unlike some tasks I’ve had. Prizes are pretty cheap. What happens if you don’t need puzzle pieces?

Thank you. I agree that it is more for people that use their diamonds and spend money. I work and don't have the time and also refuse to spend diamonds or cash money for not much extra. I do like the concept of a leaderboard, it just needs some adjustments.

I'm in 5th place and I didn't spend any diamonds (or real money). But I do have a work from home job with 11 hour shifts, so I can just have my phone next to me. I am pretty disappointed in the prizes, especially after the event we had a couple months ago that had the booklet of helpful things we could buy. I'd like to see that one again.

I seen right away what the leaderboard was about therefore I just ignored it all together. Only thing I concern myself with is upgrading my barn and silo by earning the tools. The Derby is no different I just concentrate on having horseshoes and placing top 3 isn't a goal nor gaining positions on its leaderboard.

I’m a at 10,500. I don’t like like how they’ve made this valentine event a competition . I have 2 more items to get at this point but I’ll be glad when it’s over. It’s all for 10 diamonds? And puzzle pieces 🤷‍♀️

You're definitely gonna play off and on 24/7 and have it take over your life to try to get 1st place. I'm lvl 47 and been in first place by a very narrow margin for several days now. Am determined to not spend diamonds and crush this event but I don't see myself doing this again. 😅

I completed this event at no.1 spot, without spending a single diamond, i got 2 chick vouchers, 3 puzzles and 10 diamonds.

I like the leader board for now anyway. I don't do the boat very often, so I appreciate the chance to get puzzle pieces. I haven't finished the board yet so I don't know what it will look like after everyone has finished.

The first day I was constataly in top 5, even for some period of time on number 1. Thought it would be fun. At one point I started wondering how people get so many points, my tasks are constantly low 120 points and I don't like play tasks under 100 points really. Then realised that people are spending diamonds, which make no sense, to spend so much diamonds, for so little rewards, so I just gave up.

I've finished getting all the rewards across the bottom and I'm in 5th place without spending diamonds or money. You have to do all the low points ones, you only have so many you can do in a day, so if you're skipping them looking for high point ones, you're actually just going to lose a lot of points.

I dont use diamonds to be top of the leaderboard, just go on for 5-10 minutes 3 or 4 times per day to fill my machines with all the task items, and to pick the points up. Easy. No money or diamonds used at all.

It is always hd's goal; get us to spend more money, hence the new farm pass. That is always the goal of these developers now. I'm still thankful that the game is not evolving so quickly like the rest of them, that it is becoming unplayable. It's probably the last bastion of games that doesn't require you to completely empty your bank account. 😂 Like I said on one of your other videos, this event is not the business. I stopped putting in the effort when I saw how skewed the pointing system is. How are you going to ask me for 260 points for three chocolates, but I can get 360 points for four lobsters?! No hunty. No. Don't mind the haters, let them hate. I don't like this event either. And not even making the effort. I'm not going to waste my product that I can make mad money for and get all these machines they're throwing at me, as opposed to wasting it on events that I'm not even into. They know how to tap into people's impulse control.

I've spent diamonds on things before, but I'm not on this. It's not set up fairly at all. This leaderboard needs to be changed. I've only trashed 2, 80-point tasks because they timed out, and I'm not even close to the top of the leaderboard.

They spent an enormous amount of diamonds. I say this from experience. Don't waste your time trying to gain 1st place. I've spent above and beyond $40 to keep first place for a very small prize of hardly any diamonds at all compared to how many I've spent just to keep that place. 😢 I wouldn't have spent that many if I hadn't had other players doing the same to knock me out of the ranking. Just have fun. I will never spend diamonds like this again.

I might come up as condescending because I am not in tune with the creator on this. Yes, the leaderboards *might* require monetary investments, but at the same time, it's rewarding for F2P players as well. I have spent money on HD, and will do so again going forward, however in terms of the leader boards, I should be fine without monetary investments.

My point was it's just not worth the effort. To get good stuff you have to be at least in the top 10 which is just impossible unless you're spending diamonds. I wouldn't do it for 1 or 2 puzzle pieces. Not worth it for me! But, I respect your opinion;)

I havent spent any diamonds on tasks and am currently 3rd place, i have done every task though. I like this event since its an actual challenge and the rewards are good for top 10 which im aiming for. I do agree though top 1 will definitely be the one who spends the most diamonds.

Im free to play lvl 200+, an top 5/10 is vry much possible without spending any diamonds. 1st is not possible tho. But its fair, players want evrything without doing much. That will defeat the whole purpose of the leaderboard 🤦

the pop ups that tell you how you are doing suks. its clear there are players who have money to spend. this event is really turning me off to the game. multiple tasks for one machine suks, like making jams, which take days to complete. reality, its all about spending diamonds, which costs money to purchase. lets face it: Supercell is a business, that needs to survive. like MacDonald fast food prices, no longer worth it.

I hate the new leaderboard feature. It’s nothing more than a money grab. That’s all they’ve been focused on for the last few years. The pop up banner is annoying as it interferes with gameplay. The task are ridiculous since there are many that take a considerable amount of time for very little points. I actually liked these events until they added this feature to it. They’ve sucked the fun out of it.

I've spent zero diamonds so far. I'm rank 93 and I'm at 14000 something and I play like 1-2 hrs a day at most which is around the same as I play always. You just have to plan well. I basically put the stuff in the machines and go to her and when I wake up I collect like 1000 points and then I'll put the next batch and return in 8-10 hrs. Only thing I can think of that you hate it is that you missed a lot of tasks as they don't stack and you're just salty. I missed 3 tasks and I'm lower than the top. The only thing I'll improve is if the tasks can stack and they don't have tasks for jams or choco bar or anything that takes like more than 2 hrs to finish. Cakes and soups are okay but to finish a task needing 3 chocolate bars ....that's 51 hrs. I saved like 10-15 hrs by watching the ads but still
