Thank you for this well made, informative video. Two questions: 1. The new green tipped roots emerging into air above the pot - does one need to cover them with moss to help retain moisture or just let them be? (Leaving them open will risk the root tips drying out in hot or dry weather.) 2. Is it better to keep the orchids in plastic pots or bamboo/cane pots to help in air circulation to the roots?

Hello, thank you. My answer to your first question is to leave the air roots as they are. Air roots are always gray. If your orchid is healthy, the tips will be green. However, it can dry out at times. This is quite normal. If the air roots are very long with gas, remove the roots from the soil. Soak them in warm water, the roots will soften. Then transfer all the roots to a pot. My answer to your second question is that I always grow orchids in transparent pots that I buy. And I use porcelain or ceramic wide second pots. It balances the humidity.

Bonjour J’ai mon orchidée qui est en mauvaise état. Les racines étaient presque toute pourris, les feuilles sont toutes tombées. Du coup j’ai retirer les racines pourris et garder seulement les racines saines j’ai changer le terreaux et rempoter. Pensez-vous que cela peux suffir à la sauver ? Que puis-je faire pour l’aider ? Bonjour, c'est bien que vous ayez désinfecté les racines et changé le sol. Si votre orchidée n'a pas de racines, je vous recommande d'appliquer des sérums. Faites des trous dans un gobelet en plastique ou autre chose et placez-le sur le pot. Donnez ensuite 5 cuillères à soupe de jus de peau de banane tous les 20 jours et placez-le dans un endroit lumineux. Il faut être un peu patient pour obtenir des résultats.
