I moved from bama 6 years ago and went up to WA. I sure do miss talking to my ol folk down in Sommerville/Harstelle area. Good people are far a few between anywhere, but by golly I sure miss the southern hospitality. Gentle waves off steering wheels to strangers. Years ago I was a truck driver and I remember my boss saying to get ready the next day I was going to Philadelphia,man I was excited,well the next morning when I got to the shop to get my paperwork,it's when I found out I was going to Philadelphia,Mississippi...lol,well anyways I was headed out there to pickup a piece of equipment at an auction,it was one of those big concrete recyclers on tracks and it was coming back with us to Opelousas,La.

Deer do some crazy things when they hear something they don’t know what it is, they will come to investigate and if they get spooked they will run away and then circle around and come back if they were still curious and if they don’t think they are spotted they will sit there and watch for a long time before they sneak off.that’s more urban area deer but the mountain deer that are on the huge swaths of state game lands, they hear or see or smell anything out of the ordinary and they are gone before you even see them. It’s like they know it’s hunting season and they just avoid any area that they think they could be in danger and when the season is over they are back to their normal routine. That’s what I observed at least when hunting and finding a good spot to hunt and setting up game trail cameras. I kept them in the spot for two years straight going to swap batteries and sd cards and a week before hunting season starts they change their pattern and they don’t come in regular again until after hunting season ends. That totally changed my strategies for hunting.

So I was going goose hunting. My uncle was a big hunter. I said unc what the best way to cook a goose. He said get 2 pots of water. Put the goose in one and put a rock in the other one. He said when you can chew that rock. The goose will be perfect. True story I never went one time. I was smart enough to know that a man that I have seen eat anything and everything nasty. And when he said that. I never thought about hunting goose ever again.

So my dad passed when i was 13 but he was the same way never hunted with him his brother my uncle loved to hunt we always go well me and my uncle were hunting deer one time he drank his whole bottle of water or whatever he goes hey im gonna pee you keep an eye out im maybe 14 15 im like dude no thats dusgusting he was like im im the corner oh my god i had to listen to it then he just put the cap on and set it in the corner after asking for my empty bottle 😂😂
