This is a very energetic version of this "military" symphony. In addition, Jochum underlines all the formal articulations, which is well in the style of Haydn. Jochum is far from these sclerotic interpretations which can work for the medium symphonies of Haydn. but here, in these last symphonies, the orchestra used by Jochum seems perfectly suited.
