these are such well made trailers.. I'm very impressed.. the one thing for me that is maddening for a higher end unit like this, is not having slam latches on the baggage or outside compartment doors.. I've had three trailers and they all had those twisty whatever locks they are, and without fail they always loosen or come apart and really are not stable at all.. i realize the doors are closing the opposite direction, but the slam latch should work the same way closing upwards.. but otherwise kudos to a great new brand with a quality build

Thanks for the tour Josh, and a HUGE thanks to Ember for allowing it. I believe you mentioned (if I remember correctly) in one of your first Ember vids, that they are some of the top industry folks who got together to create a new RV. They are definitely leading the way in quality over quantity, which is a rarity in this day and time. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to enjoy a camper right now, but when I do, believe me Ember is on the short list.

Those look like they are very well made! I’d like to see them expand into larger TTs and 5th wheels. Hopefully they’ll keep their current business model and not sell out to one of the big RV companies. That’s tends to make things worse because they want to cut corners and maximize profits. Another great video Nerd!
@doubled82472 жыл бұрын
Very good built quality, there are a few things they are doing the same as the other guys but you can tell its better build quality. I liked seeing the aluminum angle around the floor around the tire to protect it in case of a blow out. One thing we use in our industry for nuts that are critical is prevailing torque nuts, no need to double nut the out riggers then. What i would recommend is using 2 bolts per outrigger and using a small aluminum plate. During the video it looked like some of the outriggers were over torqued and it was warping the floor material. If they were using 2 bolts per outrigger and using a aluminum flat bar to squish the floor material not only would it be stronger but it would reduce fatigue points. Awesome camper cant wait to see what they continue to build and the continued improvement.

Thank you both for giving us an overview of RV construction. I love to see how much effort and quality they put into their builds. Josh, keep doing these videos so we, (the buying public), knows what to look for and have a knowledge of the product they are buying. For me, I tend to keep mine for long periods of time, (bought my Alpenlite brand new in 2004 and still have it today), so for my next purchase, I know exactly what I am getting.

Glad to see the ember build process. These are very nice trailers. Makes me think of the Spartan trailers over the top build specification. One of the things which I noticed was the suspension sits in a specifically tailored pocket in the frame. It is not slapped onto the outside like virtually every other manufactures trailer. These also have a very robust construction throughout, bottom to top, front to back and even all the furnishings are stoutly built. A very very solid trailer. Nothing slap dash about these units. These are expensive and heavy trailers. However, the have earned their price point. I am very willing to bet these trailers will be very very expensive as old used trailers as well 10, 15, 30 years from now.

Really really liked seeing this video. Very glad to see the stabilizers finally come in and improvements like standard wiring harnesses. Great idea that Max solar can then be added afterwards. BIG SUGGESTION is to add nylon locking nuts to attach floor to frame. I have had to do this with every RV I have owned and manufacturers just need to do it at the start. Most factory tours make me worried about quality because their workers are running around so fast and crazy. This tour did the opposite. The pride and organization spoke volumes to the Ember Attitude. I really do hope my dealer in Truro Nova Scotia gets some Embers soon to look at. Really really impressed thanks Josh!

Manufacturer / Dealer service is the achilles heel of RV ownership. I hope Ember does a better job than most other RV companies. Would like to see more floorplans with more functionality - dual axle/ oven option / dual sinks / non Murphy bed options etc. I like the idea of less maintenance. If they truly have QC that may set them apart from most manufacturers. The Ember price point is laughable and will be their downfall - $54K single axle with some cheesy two burner stove no oven no dinette etc? C'mon now 🤣
