Yup. The 25’10” length caught me as well! I’ve been looking for my first RV and all types of RVs under 28’ are being considered. Talk about 25lbs of sugar in a 10lb bag! I’d been looking at a “B+”, 25’5”, and wondered how the heck Ember got so much more in! Took me longer than it should to look it up, lol. I was ready to buy the damn thing - it’s a great unit if someone could squash it in a few feet for me.

@@astrodb4487 Its funny you mention that, my local Bish’s has in inquiry with Ember to find out what the GVWR limiting factor is on the cargo; axles, tires, etc. I just hope they don’t overshoot and go past my TV rating 😂. As for the fresh water, being a large SUV and having to stay in a certain weight and length limit for my comfort, I figured I would be doing some water runs with an auxiliary tank anyway. *Looking at the 24BH, this 29RS is too large.

The flex suite makes so much sense to me. Desk space is important but unless you’re single, having a somewhat private space separate from your “coworker” is equally important and you don’t see a lot of manufacturers thinking in that way.

Being 6’6” I approve. Most campers I hit my head on the fixtures. On the ultra budget campers like Viking or similar I can’t even stand up straight. Freedom express was really tolerable at 6’9” so 6’10” should be right as rain.

Great new Ember model...even if it's not a "new" floorplan in the industry. But I couldn't figure out how they fit all of that in the same length as their biggest Overland Series model, so I checked and realized that you have a typo in the length...it's 35' 10" not 25' 10". I like the light wood cabinets, but those insets look like 1950's stereo speaker cabinet covers...I'm not a big fan of that decor choice. Anxious to see the video on the 2024 improvements to the Overland Series...especially the 2024 221MSL.

The ventilation those windows provide is beyond awesome👍 but the lack of a conventional screen will allow the RV to fill up with black flies, mosquitoes or any bug of the week within minutes😢

I got to see this a while back when we visited Ember RV and it was incredible with Christopher opened-up those windows. This is a nifty floor plan with so much Azdel and just a solid design in so many ways. I also love that bedroom configuration where you can go and use it as an office or just to cool down after your spouse says something...well...I'm not gunna write "dumb" but. Yeah.

Another great video Josh. I saw the number of steps pretty quickly and knew this would be too tall and too nose heavy for me. I LOVE the way they did the A/C's on this and hope that trickles down to some of the other Ember Touring models. I am probably one of the few people that don't like the new windows because of my allergies and bug dislike issues, I for the most part want heavy duty screens if I am cracking window to let out the smell of something I burnt in the kitchen...lol. Which is also why I LOVE outdoor kitchens-- when you accidently leave something on too long, you don't have that smell inside to deal with. I also like the design of the bathroom/ bedroom entry's and wish more campers offered real doors instead of sliding doors. I wish one of the manufacturers would also offer an upgraded floorplan with a lower ceiling. By the time I get to a trailer that has everything I want, they are all well over 11' tall. Just to pick your brain to see if you think of anything- 50 amp service with dual A/C, outside kitchen with a sink, around 30' in length (shorter is better), theater seat and dinette (Mom's sleeping area), self leveling would be preferred, but power stabs ok, oven/ microwave/ 12v fridge for the inside kitchen, the more MAXX air fans the better, shower (no tubs please), spread torsion axles would be preferred for better stability, Queen bed for the main bed because that is what I have now in the house, roller shades instead of pleated, slide topper(s), solar w/ inverter installed, 15" or 16" tires because 14" trailer tires are hard to find when traveling, a tongue weight under 850lbs, and slam latch doors instead of the twisties. I am watching a very short list of models to see if any of them hit everything, but like you always say- "No one builds the PERFECT RV." so I am just going to have to compromise when the time comes to finally order one. I had an Ember on the list, but on that model, either 50 amp wasn't available or the tongue weight was going to be too high (I need to try to stay under 850lbs), I can't remember now. The other manufacturer I eliminated because they don't offer power stabs or auto leveling was Grand Design so if they change that, it will add a few more models for me to watch (There probably is an Imagine floorplan that would work if they would change their minds on the scissor jacks.). Oh, the reason for the power stabs/ auto leveling is I need the clearance on the bottom of the trailer. With my pull vehicle being a Durango (it is low enough for Mom to be able to get in/out) it sits fairly low so a trailer over 25' is going to pitch on terrain changes so I need all the clearance I can get so I don't rip anything off. From what I have seen, the scissor jacks hang down pretty far, AND are pushed all the way to the edges of the trailer so that is why I am shy about them. interesting air conditioner setup, would work great out here in the desert in mid summer..... mega dump in living room during the day if needed, after sun goes down change to centralized to cool bedroom before bed. everything else is quite cool, the travel access bites bird balls.... but, like any other rv, always something has to give somewhere, on this one that one thing is, you have to have all your fecal matter together before you close up, and just need to have a powered portable fridge if you must make grocery stops (many people probably already have one anyway, ) not a huge problem. can be benefits to everything being buttoned up so tight as well, can place more valuable items in that area while on the road, stopping for gas and quick sleep stops... nobody going to bother making you open your slides to rob you while there or do themselves while gone either way, they want to bounce out asap.... normally..... can still sleep outside the cracker barrel just fine.

This is pretty close to exactly what I'd be looking for. I'm not sure about the split awning though. Can you still install a slide topper over the slide awning, or does that become a problem? Regarding the plastic sink, I could see that either way. My Micro Minnie has a stainless sink in the bathroom. But the smaller bowl that Winnebago used isn't made from the same grade of stainless as the kitchen sink is. It blooms with rust constantly, and I frequently have to scrub and regrain it to get rid of it. Cheaper stainless will do that, and given that as a choice, I'd rather it was plastic...

Hey Josh use your Jedi mind power on Ember to influence them to copy & paste the Alliance 29RL.This would break them into the 5th wheel market while still Ember DNA with acrylic windows, shower miser, etc. ... However ditch the cable drive slide for rack & pinion or even go with a great alternative.. a company called Vroom.... they currently do aftermarket upgrades... that would keep the RV a lot lighter

I really like a lot of what Ember is doing with these units. I especially like all the cabinets in the slide out above the windows. No RV owner ever has said they have too much storage. I do think they need to design a higher GVWR and get the cargo capacity of these units up. There are some real downsides to how Ember is installing their ACs. First I very much doubt that in most units the living room actually gets the least amount of airflow. I’ve seen multiple videos looking at the AC airflow mods that examine the flow at every ceiling exit and they tend to be relatively uniform. Which means the space with the most ducts gets the most air when in ducted mode. Second the dump feature is actually a pretty ineffective was of cooling the trailer given that it’s turbulent airflow and a chunk of it just gets recirculated. Third having the second AC and it’s thermostat in the bedroom allows you to zone the unit with the the ability to set different temps in both rooms if you so desire. A feature we use a lot since my wife and I like a cold bedroom. Finally having the AC above the bed means when I open the dump on it I get air blowing right down on us which we like when we sleep. So on balance the best way to cool a camper is to be in ducted mode (especially with an airflow mod installed) which renders the location of the AC units moot. And having it in the bedroom does offer other advantages.

No way this is 26’. More like 36’. Still, add a king bed option and I would seriously consider this. Love the AC placement. Is Ember allergic to stove backsplashes? How about a vertical strip light in the pantry? Would also love to see more robust seating options instead of pleather at this price-point, not to mention the bath sink. I’d also completely redesign the island and have the flip-down side in front of the fridge to help the travel access issue. Finally, I’d also give up the washer/dryer space for more room in the shower. It’s tall enough but looks tight. Shrink that back 50%, and make the other side plain storage.

Like it allot. However why build a full size slide box that has to hold all the weight of the passengers and build it with cables. It should be rack and pinion. It will fail with cables and all that weight.

Tell them need an option the slide open window. These windows don't work for skeeter country. Everthing else is fantastic. Love the interior colors &c materials. Maybe lose the pleather. I hate that stuff
