No slide equals no noise comes in and no bugs, mold or rain to get in. When you stop you can access everything, toilet, bed, refrigerator and table at a fast food place. Also no extra moving parts to go wrong.

I have had slides for the last 23 years, either 1, 2 or currently 3 and not one issue with any of them, so in my mind that is a non problem.

I'm glad Rockwood finally made this floor plan, but I wish they'd have kept it a little shorter and lighter. A little too heavy for us. A good one if you have enough tow vehicle. I agree that they need another window in the kitchen area. If they would just move the one left and add another. What do you think?

I really like the Mini Lites, the camp queen isn't my first choice, but I could live with it. A fireplace would be nice, but given the overall size and layout storage space would get used more. Overall Rockwood just does a great job on this series, definitely worth considering.

I'd definitely be interested in a no-slide version of this, but instead of the murphy bed, I'd rather the bed be turned 90 degrees like on the GEO PRO 19FBS, which has a full queen. The more functional kitchen that actually has some counter space is the big win in my opinion.

Love it, and yes, I absolutely would like to see a no slide version... I do prefer the north/south bed, and honestly, I'm gravity friendly, as you say, so I would be able to crash on the couch. Overall, I would struggle pulling this as one vehicle is rated 6k and the other 5k, but I'm not against making this stationary to snow bird! 😂❤

A no-slide with fully functional murphy bed would be pretty cool. It'd definitely cost some space, so the couch would have to be reworked, as would the table situation a bit. I think it could be done in a way that wouldn't compromise too much, but it would take some planning with a fair bit of trial & error. Then again, some wiz might prove me wrong

This is well done as you presented it with the theater seat. Yes the best murphy, like that it has essentially a footboard, not resting completely on the sofa. Also that the sofa has footrests. The murphy sofa is long enough for me to lie down on, making it naptastic for me. Yes to a pocket behind the fridge accessible from inside. One thing that would elevate it would be to add one of those counter extensions that slide out under the counter below the TV (make the lower cabinet shorter to keep the drawers, or make the counter higher), and a couple of folding chairs (there might be room to stash those behind the fridge). The cabinets that don't open should not have handles, it's misleading. The 2 units you linked to aren't really comparable, but of the 2 I prefer the GD.

The BEST trailer we ever had was a 2004 Jayco 24 foot, tandem axle, no slides. The only thing the Jay Flight didn't have was a full queen bed, it was short. I would love to get one like that again. It had a tub but would prefer a walk in shower, now we are older. I really miss camping, I loved it so.

@@JoshtheRVNerd Don't know why they don't make that floor plan. Small but lots of room for two people (even though it sleeps at least four adults or more ) and a half ton can pull it with ease. Not to mention small size can get into any campground and easy pulling. We put a curved shower rod in ours for more elbow room in tub area and separated the pass through from the bed to keep things separated

I love that the sofa in front of the Murphy bed also reclines. I do like the lighter interior, but it’s is a blah color-quite greige. Almost like the HOA brown, just lighter. I would rather see more contrast like a darker accent color and lighter furniture color. I love how wide the awning is. I agree with you on the camp side windows; maybe the could make the ones they have a bit larger? I love the amount of storage! The only quirk is the camp sized queen.

This is the plan we are looking at, but have not been able to see one in person yet, so thank you for the video. The RW web site shows two windows in the camp side in the counter area. Much rather have the storage vs a fireplace. Can always put a poetable electric FP on the wall in front of the ref in cooler weather. The web site also shows exterior storage behind the ref.

Big fan of Rockwood! When we decided to trade in our Salem TT in 2021, we looked a literaly ever manufacturer, Rockwood by far had the best build quanlity. We purchased a 2906BS and have pulled thousands of miles without and issue.

Just finished our 6th season in the 2507s (and 5 years in a Roo before that), it's been just about as close to trouble free camping as it gets. The Murphy bed is an excellent design. The seating beneath it isn't the best, but the theater seat/sofa is great.

Hey Josh, I would definitely go for the slide version versus the no slide, I get a little claustrophobic and I just like the more open feeling. The counter space is awesome and I wish that I could find a model or floorplan like this where there was a sleeper sofa as well as the Murphy bed. I’ll be honest, I do like Jaycos version of this floor plan I think it is the 19 MRK, but I could be wrong of the model number. As always another great video. On a sidenote, I will be going to the Charleston RV show tomorrow hopefully I find something new and exciting there.

Thanks for the great video, Josh. Opened up this looks like a great trailer for a couple that could also be used for remote work during the trip. The only problem I would see is the road mode. One of my main trips requires an overnight, one of the reasons for the trailer, and I wouldn't be able to use the bed unless we can find a place where we can open up the slide out for that evening. Thanks again. I really appreciate the way you do these videos and all the info being relayed in a simple manner for us simpler folk.

it's a shame the microwave can't run off the inverter because of the layout, but I get why they did it. Of course, it's totally possible to redo things to make "either/or" circuits. The drawback are cost and an added potential failure points, of course.

All depends on what you're looking for in a camper I suppose! Time will tell if this one proves popular overall or not. Personally, I feel it would be better if reworked up into the Ultra series instead of a Mini • Upgrade to true queen bed • Move fridge off rear wall and into an expanded slide beside the sofa • Expand rear counter across full wall It could still be under 30ft and I think a stronger model overall despite adding some length/cost

2611 is a better layout… the fireplace is our favorite option. Heat your trailer without burning your propane. Murphy bed is a cool idea but in real life a pain. You leave it down, it’s a hassle to constantly raise and lower it. I don’t get the hubub for that layout.

This just might be a good idea to down size to in our senior years from our 36' 5th wheel. We don't go out very often now, mostly do wintering down south somewhere as in this year to Fla. Actually for us it could be a little longer to accommodate a full size queen bed. It would only add less than a foot to overall length maybe only 6".

I don't think there is a BAD floorplan among all of the RockStaff Mini Lite/Micro Lite lines, but my preference is the 2513S (aka Micro Lite 25BSDS). I love the private bedroom, closet mini-slide and large bathroom of that floorplan, plus it's just well laid out. I look forward to seeing your video of the 2024 version of the Mini Lite 2513S/Micro Lite 25BSDS!!

I really like the 2513s too! Might be in the minority here but I really love that full Camp kitchen. The Rockwood 2507s has the same camp kitchen but now it's been discontinued😢. I wish Rockwood / Flagstaff would incorporate more full Camp kitchens in that 30 ft couples camper range across all their trim lines.

Hey Uncle Josh hope you're having a great day. I do like this Rockwood2517S, the setup is perfect. I was wondering the lower cabinets under the TV could you put an electric fireplace space heater? The counter space is aircraft carrier approved! Lol. I do like Rockwoods style of Murphy bed. I'm glad that you get a spacious bathroom in this unit. I think I would go with the true u-shaped dinette or the hide a-bed sofa instead of the recliners. Don't get me wrong I do.like the recliners but if you have a guest or family member come camping with you I would want them to be able to get a great night's sleep. The awning is great, because if it's raining you don't get spritz in the face with rain. I do like that you get a griddle an a camp stove on the outside so you could cook a.great meal for yourself an guests. Thank you Uncle Josh for showing us this Rockwood2517S . I was waiting for you to get your hands on this model, even though I've seen other reviews on it I trust your review over many others cuz I don't feel like you're trying to sell it to me you give your honest opinion with pros and cons. I actually really love this floor plan overall, but I wish they would have given more bedroom storage and outside storage. I love Rockwood / Flagstaff more than Grand Design because I feel their quality is far superior but Grand Design has Superior bedroom storage as well as outside storage in this floor plan , I think Grand Design can learn a lot from Rockwood / Flagstaff and vice versa, if Grand Design offered solid surface countertops, tank heaters , 1800 W inverter slam latches six-sided aluminum framing etc., you know the drill, and if rockwood/flagstaff would find a way to give more bedroom storage without a slide ,as well as outside storage. That's the only thing I see lacking in Rockwood Flagstaff floor plans take for instance their front kitchen models other manufacturers figure out a way to give you a large pass through storage like Jayco as well as Murphy bed models, that's the only thing that frustrates me about Rockwood Flagstaff they need to work on fixing those problems. I don't mean to be critical cuz I love Rockwood Flagstaff but I know they can do better in these areas. I like the unit and like the pop up power tower back in the corner over the Jayco 19MRK which is next to the cabinet. The inverter plugs are great for running my travel cpap which can run off a usb port. I like that the industry is thinking about people who need a cpap/bipap. My Ram 3/4 ton diesel would pull this unit like nothing. Maybe an outside tall storage behind the fridge, store fishing poles. Thank you for your time doing these videos.

Though with no window left of the stove why don’t they put the TV on a swing down mounting bracket. I cannot remember which model/manufacturer did that but I did see one on a video someone did. I would lean more towards the 2515S . I like the 30 pound tanks as I do spend a week in the fall hunting off grid w/ an inverter generator. Love the suspension system. I know with as many RV's as you're in it's not possible to remember them all in great detail, but was curious if you thought the space around the toilet seemed a hair larger than the 17MKE, 1900MMK, or even a 203RKLE that have comparable floorplans? It looks a hair wider, and I know you mentioned the positioning of the fridge as a possible reason, but was just curious if it ultimately worked out to more actual space.

This is amazing, I've been waiting for this review, thanks Josh! Regarding the GD 17mke, I agree that this is based on that, but I would have to choose the Grand Design based on size. I'm probably in the minority here, but I think RW would be better served to put this on a shorter chassis. Or, even better, keep this floorplan and make a little sibling version just like they do with 2109s and 2205s. I think this is too heavy and actually has too much storage (ducks incoming punch). Unless you're full timing in this, just look at all those cabinets; what the heck are you going to put in all of them? Again, this is amazing in every way, but need a sub 5000 lb option.

A local salesman suggested the power stabilizers can be an issue if the ground is not level. He said because they power together, if one side is lower than the other, it won’t extend fully. Was he accurate?

Factory offers a 2nd 200w panel and there room to expand a bit more if desired (plus portable panels) I am not sure if they offer their power package on this one yet or not

I have never been a fan of a Murphy bed. My wife and I may go to sleep or get up at different times so I prefer a separate bedroom

Is there an option for sleeper sofa and no tables? I love this one but if I travel 10 mos of the year I need the Inside storage under sink etc instead of outside kitchen. But Wonderful in general!!!!

Ember allows for that Transcend is a fixed bed so no worried I cant remember but I THINK surveyor's lets you drop the bed..

Is there an outlet in the outdoor kitchen area in the section above the 2 burner stove? It looks like there might be an outlet up high on the right side but I can't quite tell. If there is an outlet, is it 12V or a 120V?
