Honestly the fact that after laughter had such sad and depressing lyrics with an upbeat tone made me love it even more. It kind of mirrors the feeling you have when you’re depressed and want to show everyone that you’re okay but deep down you’re going through a lot. People who aren’t paying attention or can’t relate to the feeling don’t realize what you’re going through but if they’re really listening and paying attention they know. I’m not sure if I explained that very well but I’m sure someone knows what I mean.

And that’s why I always recommended them to people to try and help them too but it didn’t stick like it did with me but I’m glad. So in reality we cant put all the blame on these artists for being cold or distant with their fans, but at the same time, those who take their fame and fans for granted do need to be held accountable. Zane and Hayley are really out here doing this. It's kind of crazy because when After Laughter came out, I was in a similar place where everything felt empty and I was dancing in my toxic behavior, depression, and anxieties. When the cycle ended, it's when, in my life, I fell from the absolute highest of falls. It took me so long to put the pieces back together and the experiences I've gone through have no words. Except Hayley comes out with two singles that explain to a T some of the crap that goes on through people's heads during a time so dark you forget the meaning of light. And Zane has SUCH a natural way to get these topics to the surface without making it feel forced, nosy or invasive. This interview made me cry and feel a lot of things I wasn't expecting to feel. Man, when you talked about the fact that we don’t see the child version of ourselves as ourselves but as someone to protect... I HAVE THE EXACT THOUGHT and I talked about this and about so many other things that you said in this interview in therapy. And you know, I’ve looked up to you so much during my adolescence because of your music, your voice, and your style and your power but I’ve found out that what I love the mots of having you as a role model is that you’re just as vulnerable as me and you really give voice to my thoughts and sometimes it even freaks me to see that we had the same life experiences and that we went trough the same shit and you don’t even know who I am, yet I feel like I am in someways connected to you, and I know you probably get this from a lot of people but I just couldn’t help sharing this after this meaningful interview that I thank you and Zane for. I won’t even tell you to stay strong cause that’s so cliché, but I do wish you the best, for real. Love x

@YoStefan Oh, for sure there's lots of artists that are really open as well. Demi Lovato, another favorite of my own, for example. But, the way that Hayley does is different. Since the beginning of her career until now she has a transparency that's really peculiar, her interviews just evolved even more, it's literally an open therapy session almost. It's *all* about *her* , just purely her life and her thoughts in a way that's so intimate and specific but still so relatable, this is a kind of connection with the fanbase that's just so rare and difficult to achieve. And the way she talks, so vulnerable, humble and honest, like... jeez.

It hit me so hard. I absolutely love Hayley as a singer and performer and I have come to care about far beyond the level I would normally expect to care for somebody, who at the end of the day, I am just a fan of and we’ve never met.. yet I still am so moved by her emotions. The fact that she has felt so low may be hard for me to understand, because I would love to have half of the positive experiences she has had in life, but I also know that depression is something anyone can go through. I just hope she is able to feel the happiness she deserves. She is such a beautiful soul 🌺

Also great interviewer - rather than just asking questions he contributed to the interview and left haley exactly the time she needed to answer and gave her the space to answer the questions as in comforting her. Great job!

the fact that Hayley talks about how Billie Eilish is taking all of the publicity and fame so well 36:56. That is so cool to see of someone who has been in music industry longer than Billie but yet she still idolizes her is so pure and admirable. So proud of Hayley and hope she’s knows she’s not alone in this and can’t wait to see what she has in stored for us.

This are the best 46 minutes and 44 seconds I've spent ever since I learned about internet. You're such a talented and intellectual part of my life, growing up hearing you, learning where you come from is something else, feels like growing more attached to you. I now this might just stay as a comment here, but if you ever need a friend or someone you will just leave everything aside so you can just let go, let me or most of us here commenting know. We'll be there.

Zane & Hayley's conversation about how you keep climbing ladders and eventually the altitude gets too high and you just fall makes me think of Turn It Off. And the worst part is before it gets any better we're headed for a cliff And in the free fall I will realize I'm better off when I hit the bottom I wonder if Hayley ever listens to the old albums like brand new eyes and relates to them still.

She probably still listens to her older albums cause this year she sang “in the mourning” on her instagram, which was beautiful. Also when she performed I caught myself in the AL era it seems like she was really feeling the lyrics. So, I guess she stills relate to her old stuff, idk

14 minutes watching and I'm just crying. Gosh, to hear Hayley talk about therapy, wanting to build a family and working with friends.. I've never felt so close from someone I have never personally met. I think I'm so moved because I consider it a privilege to be able to truly see people. Authentic human connection is by far my favourite thing on this planet and I understand more now why I've always been drawn to Paramore, by their lyrics mostly, it seems to me that it has been written from an honest place and hearing that interview has the same effect on me as the songs : it helps me to remember I'm not alone, we're all in this together. Words aren't enough to express the emotions I'm feeling right now !! I'm so grateful to be alive and be a witness of the new season for Hayley as an artist and human being !
