You could do with an ultrasonic cleaner Mick, they free up everything. I wouldn't be without mine for carb work.

Thanks for the video. I have the same issue with a 56 Pro. It’s been on its arse for 2 weeks while I took the drive chain out. Since putting it back together it won’t start so I’m wondering if the carb has become blocked while it’s nose was pointing to the sky for an extended period of time.

Great video Mick! I have a quick question for you! I purchased a Hayter 48 a couple of years ago that has a key start (with a key in it) but it only starts from the pull cord. There is no battery and the guys i bought it from said they had tried to get it up and running but had no luck. I cant even see a starter motor on it to be fair but seems to have various wires running down with electrical crimp connections on the end. So long and short is, can these fabulous mowers be brought back to life on the key start or do I have to accept its a few years old and Im stuck with the pull cord? Thanks in advance!

Why would you leave any mower out all winter especially an expensive one ultrasonic cleaners are good been using one for about 10 years now not so sure it would have unseized that carb but we'll worth a try nothing ventured nothing gained I always put a bit of carb spray through carb after ultrasonic clean and blow out with air just to remove any water left inside carb as water equals corrosion. On Honda water pumps and the like when the float sticks it usually fills the sump with fuel giving you very thin oil.

Hi Mick love your channel slowly working my way through all your videos I to do the same sort of thing I don't know if you would be interested but in Aldi they are doing a byke assembly stand product code 97726 I ve just bought one it is fantastic for holding strimmers well you work on them before I found it awkward to hold them and work on them before 25 quid keep up the good work .

Lol like i said.... It will go to a better home!! Think I may have one myself oneday if me AL-KO dies! Which i doubt, it a 2007 model and still going like new!!!
