I'm delighted to have come across these three lectures. Mind-bending and intellectually taxing, certainly, but incredibly rich. Webster shows just how necessary systemic theology is for understanding why the Gospel is good news, and for the true worship of God.

What was his firsts books? Also. Did he write CROSSROADS? When?

He did not write a book called Crossroads. I don't recall what his first book was, but one of his earliest volumes was an edited volume in '96 called The Possibilities of Theology--a festschrift for Eberhard Jungel.

Update. His first real monograph was Eberhard Jungel: An Introduction, which was an adaptation of his dissertation.

The question on the masculinity of God was disappointing to hear as a concern here. The answer was good- but, I think it also avoids the question that was brought up. Namely, why is it appropriate for God to use Father-Son metaphors to describe something so fundamental to himself, opposed to mother-daughter.
