All the og VAs did a song together on Blck Gryphons channel (OG Alastor singer), and he did a Q/A in the comments, said that the reason for the recast was just showbiz, Viv always wanted a broadway quality cast, and she got it.

Yeah unfortunately a lot of the OG cast couldn't sing and so weren't good enough for the role. But it worked out fine in the end tho as the new guys are absolutely amazing

Katie Killjoy’s VA is now Brandon Rogers! He’s very close with Vivziepop. He voices Blitzø in HH’s sister show, Helluva Boss. Also they changed Katie into like, a reference to one of his own characters, Bryce Tankthrust.

Lilith is an actual figure from the Bible, and a lotta of the art and lore regencies really old Biblical ideals, such as the angels appearance. There’s a lotta edits made to the Bible in the last 500 years

Is she? I thought she was a Jewish figure. She's not in any of the books (the Torah, the Bible, etc), but was in "side" stories/mythology (so not considered canon by most).

​@@wah8765 I mean the name Lucifer also was a result of a Croatian saint with shitty Latin skills having a beef with another saint who was a native Latin speaker unlike himself over who was the better heresy hunter and was used as an allegory for a Babylonian king who was oppressing the Israelites at the time. Both were examples of Pagan gods who were demoted to demons when Zoroastrianism, Judaism and Christianity came along. Lilith was an owl goddess, Lucifer or Eosphoros was the son of the Greco-Roman goddess of the morning light hence the name which means "Bearer of light" and was related to the planet Venus.

Love Hazbin Hotel. None of the original voice actors came back. Brandon Rodgers replaced Faye Mata who voiced Katie Killjoy. He also voices Blitzo in Helluva Boss.

Um, she actually pictured most of the current VAs for the show when she made the Pilot and actually told the pilot VAs to sound as close to the current VAs who are Broadway performers as possible. The exception being Jeremy Jordan as Lucifer, she originally pictured Weird Al Yankovic but couldn`t afford him so she settled for Jeremy instead which means the dude went from "The God of the New World" to "The King of Hell"!

There are actually quite a few voice actors from the pilot that make a return here as very minor characters - which is very cool! People were understandably upset over the recast, but as most TV pilots don't see the light of day people don't understand how rare this is. Recasting once greenlit is standard practice, so it's kind of a given to working actors to not expect any preferential treatment during this process. Hazbin is cool because the pilot got so much public attention, which definitely helps your portfolio. I think everybody did a fantastic job in both versions!!

Unfortunately none of the voices from the pilot transferred over to the actual show. Vivziepop wanted a broadway cast, so the old voices were scrapped and replaced, including Charlie’s.
