Valentino is underrated, to any angel dust stans who disagree, you cant say he's a bad character just because he is evil. He contributes a lot to the story and makes angel dust's backstory more interesting. Angel dust would be boring without him. Also he's an excellent villain and a perfect member to be part of the vees. He was created to be hated so by any of you hating him it just proves that's he's a good character. Also it's hell, everybody is a bad guy here lmao.

What I love about Angel's arc is that, from the very start, we are shown he has a soft spot for his friends under the horny, snarky asshole gimmick. In the Pilot, he is seen outwardly ridiculizing Charlie's plan and trying to make excuses for himself for....ruining it, mostly because he likes to make Vaggie mad, but when he notices how actually sad his actions and jokes were making Charlie...he immediately felt bad. Sure he quickly covered up and went his merry way, but the glimpses where there. In ep 1 he is the only one besides Charlie and Vaggie that gets pissed at the commercial being cut off. In ep 2 we have multiple moments- first seeing how Charlie sidelining him and actually believing in someone else (Sir Pencious) DID hurt him and his insecurities- and in the end, he was ready to protect the Hotel from the Vees's spying plan shit. In ep 3 he is the one to, ironically enough considering the last ep, save Sir Pen from the territorial war, and drag him back home. In ep 4 he did everything he could to protect Charlie from Valentino- EVEN when *he* was getting beaten up. And of course, all his scenes with Husk during/after Loser Baby. In ep 5 he is seem in the background silently supporting Charlie when she calls her dad- and seemed rather touched when she mentioned how she cares so much about the Hotel. Also, he saves Nifty from a piece of debris when it's attacked. In ep 6- well, every scene with Nifty basically lmao the highly being "I don't want them to end in the gutter like I used to." In Ep 7, at the end, he is the one that pulls both Pen and Husk close when they start talking about how they won't leave the Hotel. In Ep 8- multiple instances. His bedroom's door being covered on his friends's photos. Him playing wigman for Sir Pen, saving the Eggboy, all his cute little scenes with Cherry in the background, him being the second most affected by Pen's death after Charlie, and his hand being the one Charlie takes in the final song. In other words- man is everyone's best friend whenever he wanted to or not.

​@@theundying_ i wouldn't call him well-written, but interesting in the way he behaves. he's an immensely charismatic and cordial gentlemen, but that persona is a facade; he always carries a sense of insincerity, and he's petty and cruel, coming off as a "delightful villain" archetype with the way he toys with and manipulates people. he's also mysterious and from my experience, people _love_ mysterious characters. that mystery element alongside his more courteous manner is what made him stand out more from others in the cast (especially given how openly vulgar many other characters are.) there's an odd kind of elegance and ambiguity to him i honestly don't see in the other characters. which again, i don't think one can call it well written per-say, it's just that he's written in a different manner that makes him more appealing

Alastor* Lucifer’s compelling story is being a terrible neglectful father who hates his people. But hey, he showed up so now we collectively forget that’s he’s damn terrible. Lucifer can’t even creep into the battle on time, nearly killing his daughter. The guy who can’t rule for shit. The guy who did nothing for his daughter until some sinner challenged him into stepping up for once. He can’t even pretend to be supportive and is rude for no reason, until he suddenly switches at the last episode in the typical Vivziepop fashion. Be fr. 🤣

Top three in order for me, I gotta give husk #3, he's such a great character with a lot of charm and love to offer. Plus HUSKERDUST DUHHH‼️ #2 for me is definitely Lucifer. Jeez just from the moment he came in screen with his rubber duck invention I absolutely ADORED HIMMM! He's so sweet and he gets awkward really easy. He's also iconic yet so relatable! And finally #1 I gotta give it to angel dust. OMLLL do I even have to explain? Angel is such an amazing character. From his design to his accent to his personalality he doesn't have a single flaw in my eyes. He's been through so much yet he can still smile and laugh and have fun and I love that about him. Even though Alastor is very manipulative to Charlie and everyone, its clearly hinted at in episode 8 that he's starting to care about everyone just a little. And his panic attack causes him to re-distance himself from them so he won't possibly grow attached and keep his eyes on his original plan. I feel like you gave a lot of the characters good spots the only character that I would move down would be the main character Charlie because I’m not one of those like people who are like kids like one of those adults, but still the one who you gave the best spot I find was alastor because he’s a mysterious character. He’s good to design. His songs are amazing but I feel like you should move up Emily a little higher once we move more into the series because she’s honestly a great character and the song you didn’t know absolutely fire.

10 reasons why husk is my favorite (this took forever, its also kinda long so skip it if you dont wanna read) TW: Biased Person 1. He has an overall interesting backstory, being a former overlord and all. Only getting a glimpse of his backstory, i think its safe to say that so far, his past is still kind of a blur. Hopefully we can see more of his past as an overlord in season 2. 2.his design is unique and quite different from the rest of the cast. He has wings, unlike valentino, husk can use his wings to fly, as seen in episode 8. He is also one of the few characters to wear a hat/tophat. He also fights with cards and explosive dice, which i find pretty cool, speaking of how everyone else fights with normal guns and knives (except Charlie who fought with glitter) 3. As a character overall, he has made genuine progress. His drinking problem has gotten better, with him drinking less and less as the show continues. He also stuck around at the end, when he thought alastor died. This shows his loyalty to Charlie and the rest of the residents. He also tries to influence Angel Dust to not take drugs from Cherri Bomb (episode 6). 4. His name also might have something to do with his character development. I think his name is contradicting how he is a 'husk' of his former self. He has changed alot as a person, and that is apparent in the later episodes (4-9) (or maybe it isn't idk 😭) 5. His relationships with the the others might have an impact on his character arc, and i find this interesting. As seen with his bad relationships (Ex: Alastor, Mimzy) and his good relationships (Ex: Angel Dust, Sir Pentious) his good relationships might be why he is being nicer, or letting his guard down. But his bad relationships might have influenced him to be this grumpy, and upset persona. 6. His empathy for his friends just makes me smile. As seen with Angel Dust, he knows Angel is a fraud and is masking himself. This infuriates Angel, especially when Husk went to get him. Husk, after hearing Angel tell him his woes, Husk shares about himself too. Not to be like,"Well You Have It Bad, But I Have It Worse." Its more like,"You Have It Bad, I Do Too, Even Though I Dont Fully Get What Your Going Through, I Can Feel For You." Another example is with Sir Pentious, you could say that they dont interact often, but the times they do are usually nice. Like how he compliments how Pentious can take getting beat up like a champ. 7. His lines in the show are sometimes pretty funny, but they also revealed some lore about different characters. Like when he called Alastor out for being owned by someone. Husk also called out Charlie for having daddy issues (it is hinted at in the pilot sorta) he also was the only one to call out Angel for being 'fake.' Like i said previously, he also has said some funny stuff (Ex: "Are You Fuckin' High!?" "Nevermind, Im Out." "I'll Admit, Consent Is A Good Name For A Sex Club.") 8. His actions have said alot about what kind of person he is. Weither it be him sneaking out of a situation, or him dis-including himself from activities, to him helping rebuild the hotel (mainly the bar.) He also has helped cheer up Angel Dust by dancing with him, and incouraging him to not mask himself (in Husks words, "Play Your Card, Be Who You Are.") 9. His personality changing is quite a journey. He starts off being a grumpy person hating every second of being at the hotel, to actually sticking around when he though Alastor died. His change in heart is inspirational, showing that somebody can infact, change their ways.Husk seems to have made genuine progress over time, and he seems to be becoming a better person. 10. Cats. Personally I think Velvette is above Vox, both in intellect and capability. Maybe not in booksmarts but she's repeatedly shown that she prioritizes playing the game over her own vices. That she was *willing* to ally with the other overlords including Alastor who she knows Vox despises to take the fight to Heaven. Now this is more an inference based on when she presents the angel's head that she or Vox figured out the extermination was moved up as a reprisal. Also her needling had a point in Respectless, she figured out that Carmilla was likely responsible and that she was resisting war with Heaven she was the chief opponent to overcome when rallying the overlords. Admittedly she failed but it shows a shrewd cunning I'm excited to see more of.

Honestly Valentino is such a good charecter, yes, certainly one of the most evil, but the fact that everyone recognises that and hates him, that is brilliant writing skills on the writers part. They made him to be evil and hated, he is evil and hated, he is perfect. Don't even get me started on his design- I love it. He deserves higher on this list

i have a theory that i have heard from someone else that i want to expand on: what is the deal with alastors shadow? it lets him use one of his most powerful abilities, that being teleportation. it also shows up at random times like at the very end of season one. And you mentioned how alastor is in a deal with someone? what if its his shadow. He can never really get out of the contract, because how do you kill a shadow? and he would be very desperate for freedom because how do you escape a shadow? and finally it would explain how he can shapeshift and has the powers of a god. also in the alastor section you wrote "alistair"

I actually think Velvette is a FANTASTIC character if my theory is correct and her whole moment in "Respectless" was intentional. Playing up her 'naivety' in front of the other overlords to get a rise out of them and sow discord while nudging Hell towards war with Heaven and simultaneously carving out a space for the Vees to take over should there be a power vacuum after said war and have a considerable advantage over the rest of the overlords because of it. And she can afford to take this risk because on the one hand, if the war doesn't do as much damage as planned or doesn't happen, she still turns them against each other with her brazenness and polarizing statements. And then if the war does happen, she gets what she wants and also has next to nothing to lose with how the Vees had no intentions of participating, simply biding their time to pounce and take over. I honestly think she's so good and strategic with how she manipulates people's emotions with her attitude and social media presence and that she was simply underused this season. I wouldn't be surprised if next season sets up the Vees as more prominent antagonists with Velvette being the most threatening despite being overlooked. While Valentino and Vox are more showy with their power, they each both have a fatal flaw. Vox's being his obsession and 'rivalry' with Alastor and the need to always be in control, and Valentino throwing a tantrum whenever he doesn't get what he wants and is prone to acting impulsive and reckless. Meanwhile, we've only ever seen Velvette be calculating and cool-headed, and there's also the possibility she'd be willing to jump ship from the other two should it be necessary, given how Vox and Valentino have this weird on-and-off thing and she's just kinda there third-wheeling and curating their image as a group. TL;DR, I fully agree with her and think that she is the backbone of the Vees and could make a fantastic 'underestimated villain' character in future seasons.

Fan Theory: Lilith is the one who owns Alistor. She left hell because she was sick of it, and wanted to go to heaven. Idk how she got in. Probably gave the OK to let the exterminations speed up or something. But she knew Charlie needed to be protected as well as needed help with the hotel, so Lilith made a deal with Alistor that he would be Charlies caretaker in exchange for something. Which might also explain why he is so dismissive of Lucifer. If his role as caretaker is taken away, his deal is void and he'd end up in some situation where he'd be totally screwed.
