TBH I think Angel actually likes Charlie and feels safe in the hotel. He's only been outright mean to her once, and probably just goes with the flow at the hotel because he feels comfortable.

Husk nailed Charlie's problem when he was describing everyone in the hotel. She wants to fix everyone because she can't fix herself. And her problem is she can't come to terms with who and what she is. She doesn't use her power because she hasn't owned it. Further she has overwhelming empathy but has been so isolated by her social status that she cannot easily connect to the denizens of Hell. Which is why she keeps messing up in how she tries to rehabilitate people. But the thing is she is not useless. Her expectation is addictive. Its part of human nature that if someone expects the worst of us we tend towards the worst. If someone expects the best of us we move towards the better. So what she provides is shelter and protection for people to work through their problems and actually heal. And the more people she brings in the more they can help each other. People who can better understand each other's problems. Like Husk was able to help Angel. Charlie is going to have to learn to accept her power as part of her to become her complete self. And that is her struggle and arc. When she becomes whole she will become a power in Hell for change. And that will bring new conflict. But for now she has to step up and protect the ones she cares for. And being aggressively kind is not what is called for. She will learn.

Oh for sure, Charlie could've obliterated Val. She's one of the most powerful entities in Hell - she's just never really used that power before. Val was only smug because he knew that he'd already engineered it so that Angel would stop her (because he frightened him that he would hurt Charlie if he didn't - a blind threat, but one that seemed credible in the moment for Angel, since he cares about Charlie). Putting one of the people that Charlie cares about in the way is one of the best pieces of armor someone can have from her.

I wish people would stop running off information from the Pilot era. Vivzie said lore and story had changed and since then there is zero evidence Charlie is some super strong character based on the new lore. Her being Lucifer's daughter is irrelevant until it is shown otherwise.

Here's some clarification on the extermination. The angels only target Sinners, not Hell Born (Imps/Hellhounds like the HB crew) Charlie is also Hell Born, even though she's the daughter of a fallen angel, but any Sinner is on the chopping block. The Overlords probably cant go walking the streets on Extermination Day but most are powerful enough to deter attacks from the lower Angels if they hunker down or group together. They're not extended any amnesty though if they're caught unprotected.

⁠​⁠@@IceMetalPunk The only line we get that could imply a relationship between the two is when Velvette calls Vox and tells him to calm down his “boy toy” (Val) in episode 2. (And if I put on my theory glasses) Vox’s tone is happy when he thinks Angel Dust quits and in this episode Vox has a conversation with Val but his smile falls and he immediately leaves when he sees Angel. Possibly showing he dislikes Angel for taking up Val’s attention. Vox also lights Val’s cigarette with a heart shaped electric surge in ep 2. Imo a relationship between them is possible but I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t go anywhere

Devils, it seems, can't actually *kill* one another: they can get splattered into a million bits, but will seemingly 'pull themselves back together' unless killed by an angelic weapon, and I think there's something to do with the contracts being a rule outside of ANYONE's ability to alter or override, so no I think no matter what Charlie does, Valentino would still be able to take it out on Angel Dust eventually. Not sure about that, that's me trying to speculate/figure out what the rules of the magic system are here. Even so, Charlie is too non-confrontational to actually resort to hostility/violence, and Angel is in way too deep to even think that Valentino could be defeated, so whether there's an issue with the contract or not, Val is able to manipulate both of them into not doing anything to stop him from a purely psychological standpoint.

Valentino owns angel’s soul. mammon just used fizz as a cash cow. the only difference is that fizz had the option to leave. the only way for angel to be free from val is if A) Val gives away his soul contract to another, keeping angel in servitude to the new demon, B) Val cancels or destroys the contract, freeing angel, or C) angel dies…permanently.

This was the best episode this season! I have a deep hatred for Valentino for abusing Angel. Also, I love the song “Poison” and it gave me Addict vibes and I feel so sorry for Angel. 😭 The song “Loser, baby,” was so good and loved husk and angel singing together and relating to one another. 😄❤️

I agree. Val is so much worse than Mammon. We felt really bad for Angel dust in this episode! And hopefully, Val gets what he deserves!

@@kiereactions4666 Yeah! I really hope he has his death well deserved. And Angel's confession to Husk gave a representation of what I deal with. In 2020 I was friends with someone online and we were inseparable, that I developed feelings for him slowly till the drama happened in 2021 where I got suspicious that he didn't say anything. Fast forward to August 2nd things went back to normal but then in 2022 out of nowhere he decided to ignore me without an explanation till 6 months later on August 6th 4 days after his birthday (His birthday is August 2nd) started to stalk you could say me on Instagram a lot and its been like that to this day. I tried to block him and mute him but after 2 weeks or a month he kept doing it non stop
