I like Hazeltail because she makes me audibly chuckle when silly things happen to her, and while it's unfortunate I still find it funny and all the while continue to enjoy her charecter

Rainwhisker and Sootfur got screwed over. They didn't even show up for the big fight. They could've been there to help Sorreltail battle or something. And Sootfur died in the badger fight like Cinderpelt, but the only character who gave two shits was Rainwhisker! I love them both too.

I think that Hazeltail falls into the same boat as a few other background cats in her time Hazeltail, Mousewhisker, Toadstep, Rosepetal, Foxleap, and Icecloud all fit into the same boat as being around the same age and not having a personality besides being nice and fitting into the mold the story wants them to be. They all died some pretty forgettable deaths except Mousewhisker who is still alive! Icecloud, Toadstep, and Hazeltail actually died in the same green cough outbreak.

Mousewhisker should have died. If the Erins aren't going to give us a single reason to make us like him again after he betrayed his Clan, then go the route of Sunstrike and kill him off and make his spirit forgotten.

@@suchomimustenerensis Yeah and he led ShadowClan while Rowanstar was sick with yellowcough and made the majority of the Clan's decisions regarding the yellowcough epidemic. He's also the one who decided not to keep Twigpaw hostage to get ThunderClan to get them lungwort from WindClan despite most of ShadowClan wanting him to.

@@suchomimustenerensis Yes for sure. But they killed him off from the very sickness he worked so hard to help fend off in ShadowClan, and he never even got to see Darktail's reign. And they basically just killed him off so that they could make Tigerheartstar deputy and then leader.

I wish that Hazeltail or Mousewhisker had gotten mates. It was a perfect opportunity to get some new blood into Thunderclan and develop some cats that aren't related to Firestar or the first arc in general!

Absolutely! I was on a Warriors wiki walk and discovered that many cats end up descended from ThunderClan sisters Flashnose and Daisytoe. At the moment, Rosepetal and Toadstep are the only ones of Dasiy's kits who are in this House of Flashnose and Daisytoe (as I call it) because their father Spiderleg is in it. Could some more descendants of these sisters please take mates who are not related to them at all?

Well, Mousewhisker may or may not be secretly mates with Minnowtail from RiverClan. I'm behind in the series but at least where I am, neither of them have gotten canon mates, and as someone who likes RiverClan and especially Minnowtail, I have never forgotten that scene where they interacted as apprentices.

One thing I BEG of you in your rewrite is giving EVERYONE a personality. Hazeltail, Mousewhisker, Rosepetal, Toadstep, Honeyfern, Poppyfrost, Icecloud, Foxleap, even Cinderheart and even Berrynose (he should have more personality than just annoying). I love what you're thinking of for Hazeltail and I hope you can do the same for the other characters.

Hazeltail is one of my favourites as well because my introduction to Warrior Cats was that some people from my elementary school needed extra characters for their role play. They just showed me a list and told me to pick the name I like the most. I chose Hazelpaw (technically Haselpfote) and when I read the books I was always really excited to see her appear :) So yea it all comes down to nostalgia

Remember sparrow feather \ paw? They are my favorite background cat I love them! How I figured out they existed was they teased ivy paw when she was imprisoned in shadow clan, this makes her seem sarcastic and a challenge to simply deal with. See how much we got out of her? Lion blaze can't EVEN compete with that

My favorite character is not in Warriors she is Io from Wings of Fire who saved the protagonist's life but is barely acknowledged until later on when she risks her life for her tribe and I love her even though everyone always is like "oh she's cool" or "ew swordtail clone" or "I forgot about her" because of how interesting she could be if we learned more about her past! She grew up with one of the main characters. I have many headcanons about her.

I love Daisy’s litter so much! I see Hazeltail, Mousewhisker, and Berrynose as active antitheses to Holly, Lion, and Jay! Mousewhisker and Lionblaze where both apprenticed by their ‘mothers’ former flings and I feel like it could be implied that spiderleg wasn’t always the best mentor to Mousewhisker in a very avoidant way directly opposite to how Ashfur was cruel to lionblaze. Each mentor felt like they had their own reasons to be that way, Spider because he was uninterested in the idea of family and being with Daisy automatically set him up as a step parent he didn’t want to be, and obviously ashfur resents lion’s existence. I imagine the two bonded over this but took completely separate ways: mousewhisker going through with continued dark forest training due to how isolated he felt in his own clan, lionblaze stopping it as soon as he was able because he felt like he truly belonged in his clan no matter what and felt welcomed by being firestars kin and being important. Plus they both had relations with cats outside their clans, or at least implied interest in Mousewhiskers case! Hazeltail and Hollyleaf where characters I always took as close friends. When writing for her I definitely had to pull more out of barely anything compared to me writing her brothers. I saw hazeltail as the only one of her siblings who didn’t let clan beliefs about outside cats get to her, much unlike hollyleaf who upon learning she was halfclan was utterly shattered. I feel like hazeltail while being scared of hollys sudden outbursts wanted to be there for her and was heartbroken when she thought holly had died in the tunnels. I plan on doing a little animatic with a really cute scene where even after hollyleafs passing in the battle one of her priorities before accending to starclan because ghost hijinks was to say goodbye to hazel because *cough* gay reasons *cough* I tend to lump Berry and Jay together both having disability/ deformity of sorts that cause them to be self conscious in some way. Both have very very strong personalities and want to be appreciated. Jay tries hard to be a typical warrior and I feel he holds resentment for berrynose becoming a warrior in some way. Berry is trying to compensate for his existence and so is jay to some extent though both go about this in completely different ways. Berry boasts about every little thing he does as a way to prove to everyone he’s worth it and he deserves to exist. Jay on the other hand obsesses on how to save the clans inwardly and while it seems like a selfless thing at times it is because he wants to be seen, he wants to fill the boots he was given as a prophecy cat. I could go on for hours about those two sets of siblings honestly!

I still remember how cute it was reading where she is talking to Jaypaw about her siblings Toadkit and Rosekit and how she hoped Firestar would let her mentor Rosekit before Jaypaw says that couldn't happen cuz their related. (but that's bullshit because Poppyfrost mentors Lillyheart and Whitewing mentors Dewnose and their not even half siblings like Hazeltail and Rosepetal)

I love Hazeltail because i like to think she had a lil crush on Hollyleaf and i think it's funny that she is shown just hanging around with Spiderleg around camp. I imagine them having like a kinda awkward stepdaughter/stepdad relationship but ultimately getting along better than he does with his biological kids. He definitely calls her and her brothers 'sport'.

I agree with what you said on the sibling relationships, as a Honeyfern fan. In The Fourth Apprentice, i didn’t like how Cinderheart didn’t seem to care for her sisters death, while Poppyfrost was devastated. Even if they weren’t as close, they grew up together, they trained together, they became warriors somewhat close together. It felt weird, even Hollyleaf's normal Clanmates cared more than Cinderheart. She literally said. “I think she’s still sad about her SISTERS death” bro, YOUR her sister too. When cats die saving a cat, do they just get disowned? I can’t understand why, did the authors just forget about the family tree? I have many questions with no answer
