I have a friend who got loads of this a few years ago and cooked it up in loads of different ways. He ended up getting a weird sense of nausea that lasted for about 12 hours and the tingly thing. He put it down to the fact it was growing on a Cherry tree which is filled with cyanogens, but sounds like he was one of the unlucky folks who is allergic.

Worth mentioning that's it isn't toxic and any reaction to it is mild, upset stomach and nausea is about all you'll get. Allergic reactions occur in about 10% of people, eating from yew is not recommended (that will change soon, watch this space). Cheers for posting on spotters too mate. Adam

Hats off to the young’n 👏 Clearly learning from the best.... Another corker mate! We used to cook these mushrooms for quite a while in confit oil in a restaurant I used to work at. The texture and taste after doing that is really similar to a slow cooked thigh.

Geeat vid again Hazey. You made me laugh tonight lol. Reminded me of a very dear friend of mine who has sadly passed away now. He decided in his infinite wisdom to make his other half a special Valentine's meal which included chilli's. After the meal they retired to the bedroom for a bit of hows your father and the chilli which the silly sod must have still had on his hands had a very undesirable effect both of them (one can only imagine what they were doing)lol. He said they both spent the rest of the evening in the shower fighting over the cold water setting trying to elevate the pain. Classic 🤣🤣
