I suffer from mental unwellness, I have ever since I was young. I’m 28 now and life keeps throwing hard punches. Those pieces of advice you just shared was really needed. Thank you for sharing. I’m in kind of a “stuck” situation. I live in South Carolina but plan on moving to North Carolina to a place we used to vacation and I found solitude. I think a big move in my life will help me beat my demons. I really appreciate you and the others such as Joe Robinet and his group, and everyone that helps me feel as though I’m back in the outdoors again. God exists and to really find peace I know we just have to get away

Haze, you don't know me and you'll likely never meet me, but I just want to say well done and I'd shake yer hand if I could. You do a lot of good for a lot of people with your explanations and open-heartedness on stuff that people - not just blokes - find agonising to deal with. Keep it going buddy, you're important.

I've been in a bad place mentally for a couple of months now since my sister passed away June 27th. I came across Mike's channel from TA Outdoors and it's just something about the peacefulness of the woods that makes me feel better. But since I have been watching his channel I found Dustin's and yours. I just watched this video and honestly I'm crying right now. I needed to hear that it's okay to not be okay. I'm not sure how to be okay right now, but I'll figure it out. Just wanted to say thank you Haze. Much love from the space coast of Florida, US.

Great vid as always mate! It's something I always say to the kids in school - it's OK to not be OK. Social media has had one of the worst impacts on children's mental wellbeing in the modern era! One of the biggest reasons I like your channel is that you portray honestly, without super heavy editing to make everything you do look effortless. There's raw, imperfections in your videos which always makes them feel genuine. Keep up the good work mate!

A very cool intro on this video. You inspired me to take part in the steak challenge, which led me to also start a channel as a form of therapy. I’ve got an incurable brain tumor that’s required five surgeries and multiple rounds of radiation/chemotherapy treatments; plus the loss of portion of my skull and permanent tactile sensation (60%ish). I stumbled onto a Joe Robinet video late one night and discovered the bushcraft community. It wasn’t long before I discovered your channel and here I am writing this long winded story. Everything, as Zhuang Zi wrote, has a butterfly effect. Now I am starting to take people on outdoor adventures to help them deal with their own individual problems. Love the Seagal references and your love of Asian philosophy. Always remember, “it’s better to be dead and cool, than alive and uncool.”

Well done that man, i know exactly where your coming from mate , ive had a tough 6months after separation from the mrs , had some really difficult times along the way but , counselling has helped talking about the self care, sleep hygiene, allowing yourself to be a bit sellfish so know exactly where your coming from, its fantastic you can talk about all these things and you just never know who it might help, and your right just getting back to being in the outdoors has helped me a lot even when only for a few hours chilling it really helps to relax the mind, keep up the great work mate and remember we are also there for you if you need us.

Good video Haze outdoors with some good advice and tips and some good out door fun and food too . A lot of people today keep it all in and do not want to talk about how they feel and many are in denial and just want to make out that their life is all hunky dory when it is not. But in this consumer age it has to be perfect but nothing is perfect . Some times the sea is calm and sometimes it is not sometimes it is sunny and sometimes it is not. The bible says there is a time for every thing. I do talk about how I feel the good and the bad better than just keeping it all in sometimes we should just burst the spots .Thanks for speaking your mind . ATB and God bless you

There’s tons of evidence (both anecdotal and direct) to suggest that cutting out or down the main culprit ‘Processed Carbohydrates’ from your diet can lead to physical changes in the chemistry of the human body , including the brain! Eating a few more Brussel sprouts and a few less bread rolls would benefit everyone 😁 keep spreading the message it’s helping a lot of folks out there...
