PRINCESS JUST GETS IT🐝I did a workshop with her once and the way she taught stingette style really showed how much she loves the style. She was very attentive to detail and even how she described how to do the movements, you could just see her passionate for dance! So happy for her!

I’ve been watching and attending games for almost 10 years so I personally know in some way how to identify what kind of year it could be. This might a field year, we’ve had plenty field years, I was showcasing that even if that stands aren’t what people want, we’d still be fed.

The Stingettes 🐝really did an incredible job in the stands and Princess did an excellent job at paying homage to Janae yr 2019 as captain and the Stingettes. Princess really relived that moment what a beautiful job to see. The Dolls💕 is stepping up their game, we see Her is adding a new level of flavor and dance technique to the Dolls while keeping it very classy. They doing great too. The 👢 Jsettes did a great work too, I love to see Alaylah work out them counts she’s a pro at spicing up them counts and dancing down. Miles came to battle they ate in those stands too. Idk Jordan adds something refreshing to the Golden stars. Orchesis field show really showed up enjoyed those fast turns and quick flips. Golden Delight came swinging and really sticking to tradition yet serving us counts. Everyone did great and the Bands really worked hard this week too. 🔥👏🏼👏🏼🔥🔥🔥👏🏼👏🏼

Orchesis and Golden Delight's field routines were FANTASTIC! The Stingettes were OKAY, but some formations were off, making them look messy and cluttered. The P-Nettes’ choreography was TOO TECHNICAL for their style. The J-settes nailed it with precision and energy-the TRANSITION QUEENS 👑! I'll leave the stands for y’all to judge, but I will say the P-Nettes need to stay true to their unique style and not look like everyone else. The J-settes LISTENED TO FEEDBACK, and it SHOWS🔥! Keep dancing together-that’s how you achieve uniformity, timing, and precision! Slowly incorporate row-by-row formations and 2x2s-but they should not be your “go-to.” Y’all took that feedback and applied it, and went from a C+ to an A- in the stands. Awesome improvement, Settes! ❤️🇺🇸

My top three is the Dolls, Pipperettes, and WSSU. The SWAC has the more popular and bigger dance squads but they have been slacking the last couple of years. Your name can only hold you for so long before someone kicks in the door. Of the teams the only ones in the SWAC that have impressed so far are the Dolls and Motion. I believe it was Lane College who went up against the Stingettes lately and held their own. The only advantage to me was the Stings size and popularity. The Dolls seemed to have grasped that less is more and a 4 count can be just dynamic to perform and watch as an 8 or 16, I have seen some of these small squads and they appear fresh and not mundane like these SWAC schools who better realize it's going to take more than changing Captains to remain relevant or there going to more of what happened to Grambling's squad.

This week’s rankings may not reflect this, but I feel like the J-Settes are starting off how the Black Foxes did last season. The mass fandom of the team, and unwavering loyalty that comes with it, is the only reason people may not see this as the case. On paper, I was excited to see Settes vs Motion this season, but after seeing these last few performances 😐. Unless there’s some serious cuts, that battle will be lopsided and not in favor of the Settes. The only team who looks ready to battle Motion TOMORROW, in the field AND the stands, is the Stingettes. I’d love to give grace, but the top tier teams have zero excuses when Motion has so many dancers, including plenty of freshmen, yet they are clean as whistle and move as ONE.
