Shortly after Vick retired from the NFL, he was in financial trouble and owed several hundred thousand to creditors. Everyone, including his accountant, told him to file bankruptcy. Vick stood ten toes down and said (paraphrasing). I made a promise to people that I would pay for goods and services. If I file bankruptcy, that would make me a liar. He did not file. Instead, he worked it out with his crediting and, over time, paid his debt in full 100%. He made no excuses and blamed no one on his federal charges of dog fighting. He's not perfect. However, he is an outstanding man of valor. I never met Vick, but I'm proud of him like he is a brother. 🫡🫡🫡
