New turret alert. The new Maxwell turret (absent in the video) uses pure energy as it's ammo, and can store (but also consume) way more energy than the other turrets. It also can have machine upgrades installed into it. There's other new turrets but apart from the ammo they use they are basically identical so i won't cover them here. ================= Artillery turrets. As of me writing this there are 2 such turrets - Greg and Henry Greg is a big cannon. Shoots big rounds (forgor their naming) and their variants. Can work in 3 modes: Cannon mode - minimal distance from turret to enemy - 25m, maximal distance - 200m (i think i dont remember) - shoots in a straight line on a low range, hits enemies directly and quickly. Artillery mode: minimum distance to enemy - 200 (or 300 i forgot)m. Maximum distance - 3000m. Shoots like artillery. Shots take a while to land, making this mode quite useless against moving enemies (tho still the blast radius makes up for the inaccuracy). Manual mode - artillery mode but with no minimal distance or automatic targeting. Shift-rightclick the turret with a special tool to connect to turret, then aim at your target and rightclick again to shoot. Henry is a rocket turret. Uses either a pack of 6 smol rockets or a pack with 1 big rocket as ammo. Uses the same artillery and manual modes as Greg, doesn't have cannon mode. (Edit: Greg does NOT shoot out all 6 rockets of a pack at the same time, he shoots them one by one)

Thanks, this actually helped there's this one guy on an HBM+Galacticraft server that keeps stealing my stuff (he's completely dependent on me for some reason, if I don't give him what he wants he takes it from me) so finally I can make a defense or at least a suitable deterrent

that's pretty rude of him , I recommend using locks on all of your crates so he won't be able to access anything inside it and also lock the doors to your base. And yes then ofc there are turrets to keep him at bay.

There are 4 target options given in the turret and by toggling them you can select what the turret will shoot

If you set the ownership to yourself then it shouldn't ... I've never encountered such a bug tbh. If you don't really need it then you can turn off the button for "players" in the turret gui and that should prevent the turret from targeting you

I think they probably can cause the turrets only have trouble targeting and shooting mobs if they are in the hitbox of the turret.

The new turrets are AI controlled and you can control the targets that the turret will shoot at inside the turret gui. Turret controller was removed many updates back

You can take a turret AI chip and shift right click with it in your hand to add your data. Then just put the ai chip in the turret to transfer the ownership to you and the turret won't attack you anymore Second way is to deselect the "Player" target mode altogether and the turret will not attack any players

You can add names of players inside the turret in order to white list them. The chip will only hold one person which is the owner afaik

You've gotta shift right click with a turret AI chip in your hand and that will register you as an owner. Then place that chip iside the turret and it won't attack you anymore

I don't think that can be done man , the controller support for turrets was taken out and they are now controlled automatically via AI ... all you gotta do is place the turret id chip in it so you are the owner and the turret won't target you !

Armor Modifiers ? You just take your armor piece you want to modify and place it in the center slot of armor modification table , and then just shift click your modifier and it should directly go into the correct slot. Then just take your modified armor piece out
