Ang Lee is really an amazing man, he's directed films literally SO different, Life of Pi, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and ofc Brokeback Mountain. he's broken boundaries regardless of his race, and he's so humble too.

The interviewer should have asked less generic questions. A huge chuck of questions , such as Ang Lee's early life in Taiwan, his relationships with Spike Lee and Shamus James, have been done many years ago by others. The majority of those who are interested in Ang Lee's films already knew about these aspects of his life.

Mostly Ang Lee explains the creative process. And as he says, the artist doesn't always know the "meaning" of what s/he does. And at best there's always a sense that the artist isn't responsible for it so they are reluctant to put their name to it.
